We booked our APT Europe River Cruise with Global Journeys, we upgraded flights and had a few changes, nothing was a problem and communication was excellent. We planned to be overseas for two months and Global Journeys were able to schedule everything to suit. Recommended.

The welcome when we boarded was impressive as we were personally escorted to our room and advised of all the facilities. We were advised the first night that there were concerns about the river levels being at record low levels. This proved to be the case and the authorities would not allow the cruise ships to pass through sections of the Rhine or Danube. APT through their people on board kept us fully informed of the day to day situation, which was totally out of their control, and provided alternative transport and accommodation where necessary.

In our case we spent three nights in top class hotels. I do not think we missed a great deal on the river and probably visited as many castle/churches, towns as was expected. APT were excellent at all levels, accommodation, meals, staff and organising tours. All the staff were very professional with a sense of humour. I would rate this company very highly, thanks for looking after us all.

What a trip. I've never done a cruise of any description before and this was certainly the way to go. My cabin on the ship was great and I could sit and watch the countryside go by. The places we visited along our journey were great and I especially liked the little villages of Melk and Durnstein. I absolutely fell in love with Prague and Budapest and would love to go back and spend more time there.

We enjoyed every minute of our River Cruise, the weather perfect, the food amazing, the staff and crew on both ships outstanding, the tours and guides amazing, however the icing on the cake was the professionalism of the cruise director - nothing fazed him, a wonderful sense of humour which was put to the test with over 150 people on board to please ...read more - which he did amazingly well - well done Gunther. This holiday was one of the best we have been on. It ran like clock work right from contacting Global Journeys to arriving back home. Everything was just there when you wanted it. Everything about this trip was fantastic, from initial booking, airport pickups & drop offs to the trip itself, we could not fault anything. We will only travel with APT in the future.

Great trip! The weather was excellent and all facets of the journey with APT were first class. The ship, the food, the excursions and the accommodation were all first class. Value for money spent was excellent.

People have asked me what was the highlight of my trip and my answer was I didn’t have a favourite as it was all fabulous in different ways. Each country was unique and there was always something amazing to see. As I was travelling on my own, it was a very safe way to go, and I am already thinking of my next cruise with APT.

This was the holiday that simply had it all. Great accommodation, fabulous food and brilliantly coordinated tours and activities. We enjoyed every part of this holiday. It is hard to know how any other cruise director and hotel manager could have done a better job, but we hope to find out in the future. We really enjoyed the river cruise. Great cabin with outdoor balcony. The weather was very kind -hotter than expected. APT is very organized and we were very clear about our choices for day trips. It was quite busy but you could stay on the bot if you needed down time. The food was great[but too much] and the wine was more than plenty for us.

Re our flights - we took up the special $2,000.00 per person business class fare -that was great. However 7 airports and four airlines was a bit of a challenge but we managed it. We had a long wait at Hong Kong between flights from 10pm until 12md - we intended to stay at the airport business lounge rather than stay at a hotel as would spend several hours just getting there and back to airport. However the Singapore Business lounge [which Swiss Airlines uses] is closed overnight from 12am to 6am. We did not know this so would be good to let your customers know. We are glad to be home. We had a wonderful trip thank you. Booking on line worked well for us.

We had a great journey from the beginning of the booking with Georgie from Global Journeys to the trip with APT. From the time the limo picked us up from home to take us to the airport to the time he picked us up to drive us back home everything was as promised & carried out in a professional manner.We only had to ask & what ever it was we needed was ...read more done & we didn't need to ask again. The ship was well appointed and laid out. The Wi-Fi was faultless and much appreciated. Sophie loves her Facebook. The crew always went out of their way to be pleasant and to enhance our experience. The scenery m towns, buildings and excursions and guides were great. And we had good weather, almost the same as our Brisbane winter, with only one rainy day, from memory.

This was the first river cruise that we have experienced and certainly will not be our last. It exceeded all our expectations and we enjoyed every aspect of not only the cruise but all the interesting places visited, the on board entertainment, the majestic train journey to Salzburg and all the other delightful experiences. From being met by the APT representative at Amsterdam airport to checking in at Prague airport, assisted by two APT representatives, I did not have to handle our suitcases, they were either left outside the hotel rooms or our cabin when leaving the ship and the rest was taken care of, even at the Prague airport check in.

The ships personnel from the captain down went about their duties very professionally with nothing being too much trouble. The meals and wines were just great and the tours ashore were of great interest with the local tour guides being very knowledgeable and fun to be with. The Budapest to Prague land side of our holiday was also on a par with the cruise and Tomas, the Prague APT representative, was just as professional and entertaining as the cruise personnel. The ship, AmaStella was only launched in February and is state of the art in design. Yvonne and Global Journeys did a great job putting the cruise holiday package together for us.

Once again thanks to Global Journeys for managing our booking and to APT for there expertise in providing a complete worry free cruising holiday.
