We’re looking for a whole new team of fantastic travel advisors that are looking for a new challenge - working with a new online travel agency in Toronto that’s 15 years young!
Global Journeys is an award winning, full service online travel agency (OTA), that specialises in multi-day tours, ocean cruises and river cruises from over 50 of the world’s leading operators and cruise lines. Unlike most OTA’s we operate a truly blended model - maximising the efficiencies and flexibility of booking online, but also assigning dedicated advisors to help every potential client book and organise their holiday.
Our head office opened over a decade ago on the sunny coast in Australia and now we’ve just launched our North American office right in the heart of Toronto on Front Street West!
We’re looking to develop a team of the best travel advisors in Canada, so whether you’re an experienced advisor or new to the industry, there will be lots to learn and lots of travel to experience - in a relaxed casual environment. That’s right - we’re looking for advisors that want to work full time in the office. Our advisors in Australia work together, learn from each other, celebrate new bookings and commiserate over lost ones, share their travel experiences and pride themselves on the service they provide to each and every one of our clients.
As a result they’re consistently awarded “Top Advisors” by many of our operators and cruise-line partners and have received national recognition for their achievements. With that, come the perks - like having extra days off to experience some of our more interesting adventures. We’re looking for that same spirit here in Toronto and we’ll do everything we can to make that happen.

What you'll be doing
- Plan, book, and coordinate tours and cruises our clients have enquired on online, over the phone, by email (and occasionally even face to face in the office!)
- Use your industry experience and knowledge to organise any additional travel products - hotels, transfers, flights - to complete their ideal holiday
- Look after and anticipate your clients needs, from their very first email or call, throughout the booking process, on their travels and until they return home
- Ensure the use of correct booking processes and procedures to minimize risk and reduce error rates
- Take ownership in keeping your product, destination and brand knowledge up to date
- Identify, research, and resolve any issues to our client’s satisfaction
What we're looking for

- Someone who’s customer centric, with a desire to provide outstanding service and go the extra mile (anticipate, recognize and exceed client’s expectations)
- Ability to learn and use various computer systems and technology with speed and efficiency
- Takes the initiative and is open to change and trying new ways of doing things
- Wants to escape the home office and work with a team of fellow advisors in our new downtown office - full time
- Must be commutable to our downtown office, located opposite Union Station, in Toronto
Your experience
- We’re growing a new team from scratch, so we’re hoping to employ experienced advisors as well as those new to the industry
- Multi-day land supplier and cruise line industry knowledge a bonus
- If you’re experienced, you might like to to know that we’re using Amadeus - any knowledge of similar GDS’s is great too
- We use Microsoft Office, so you’ll need to be proficient with Outlook & Word, whether you have industry experience or not
- All advisors are required to be TICO certified
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
