Tour Queensland in a Week

You can tour the East Coast of Queensland in a week or take a short break in one of the state’s favourite regions. The South East Corner

Base yourself in cosmopolitan Brisbane, the bustling capital city and gateway to the south east coastline of Queensland. Stroll the waterfront precinct along the banks of the Brisbane River or cruise the waterway to take in the city from a new perspective. Explore the city’s cultural centre and perhaps while away some time at the Gallery of Modern Art.

Journey north to the unspoiled Sunshine Coast, where there are beaches and scenery aplenty. Visit the iconic Australia Zoo, where Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, has etched his legacy. Enjoy wildlife shows and learn about the ongoing conservation efforts of the Irwin family before setting off into the stunning Glasshouse Mountains where you wind through pine forests and drink in valley views from elevated ranges.

Tropical North Queensland

Enjoy a stay in the eclectic city of Cairns, where The Esplanade offers abundant dining options and a relaxed seaside feel. At night the bars along this popular stretch become abuzz and the night markets burst to life. Take a cruise to the famed Great Barrier Reef or enjoy sweeping views as the Skyrail climbs above the Barron Gorge National Park on your way to the rainforest village of Kuranda.

Travel north to explore the coastal village of Port Douglas, charming in its character and alluring in its scenery. Snake through the rainforests of the Daintree National Park to Cape Tribulation, drink in the views of the Coral Sea from Alexandra Lookout, or enjoy a cruise of the Daintree River. Perhaps venture inland to the Atherton Tablelands to discover the gushing waterfalls, country towns, and the serene volcanic crater of Lake Eacham.

East Coast Exploration

Take a tour that journeys along the eastern shoreline between the Tropical North and the pristine Whitsunday Coast. Start or finish your trip in the lush forests of Cape Tribulation or the atmospheric streets of Cairns. Venture along the coast taking in the golden sands of Mission Beach and the koala-clad gumtrees of Magnetic Island.
