Today is all about sampling the region's outstanding produce. Start with a visit to a local chocolate factory, located on a peaceful and picturesque rural property just 20 minutes from Margaret River. Stroll the grounds of Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet. Take a trip through maritime history during a visit to the Interpretive Centre and learn how this famous landmark was constructed from local limestone in 1895 and is still a vital working lighthouse for vessels navigating the treacherous cape.
