Welcome to Canada. Once you've landed in Calgary, you'll be met and taken to your hotel in Banff. Make yourself at home before meeting your fellow guests at a welcome dinner. Stay Two Nights: Banff National Park, Fairmont Banff Springs, in a Mountain View Room (D)

- You might like to take part in the Banff Experience, which includes a visit to the Cave and Basin National Historic Site. Alternatively, board the Banff Gondola and ascend Sulphur Mountain, or set off on a heli-sightseeing excursion. Perhaps enjoy a float trip along Bow River or learn how to be a Canadian ice hockey player. Otherwise, you might like to spend some time at the Willow Stream Spa.

Your rail journey starts this morning when you board the Rocky Mountaineer. Relax and soak up the views from your bi-level glass-dome carriage in GoldLeaf Service en route to Kamloops. Stay: Kamloops, hotel as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer (three-star accommodation) (B/L)
The Rocky Mountaineer continues west today, bringing you to Vancouver. See the orange truss bridge at Cisco Crossing and the water crashing over Hell's Gate. Stay: Vancouver, Fairmont Waterfront Hotel (B/L)

Later, board your ship and set off for your journey along Alaska's iconic coastline. Stay Seven Nights: Holland America Line's Koningsdam in a Verandah Stateroom (B/D)
Spend today on board, gliding past rocky headlands and over the icy waters of the Inside Passage, one of the most picturesque sea lanes in the world. (B/L/D)
Alaska's capital, Juneau, is set at the foot of the mountain peaks on the Gastineau Channel, and outdoor activities are plentiful.
Disembark and explore at leisure or with an optional excursion (own expense). (B/L/D)
Arrive in Skagway, the Inside Passage's northernmost point. See heritage buildings, now protected as part of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, and maybe set off on an excursion (own expense). (B/L/D)
Wake among the breathtaking scenery of Glacier Bay National Park. Take in the calving tidewater glaciers and learn from local rangers about the area's geological wonders. (B/L/D)
Dock in Ketchikan today, set on the tranquil shores of the Tongass Narrows, and spend some time exploring as you please. (B/L/D)
Enjoy a last day on board, cruising the Inside Passage at leisure. (B/L/D)
Disembark and be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
