Peru's capital, Lima was once the heart of Spain's South American empire in the 19th century, now modern Lima is a huge metropolis crammed with culture, and a history that pre-dates the Incas and is also a gateway to the marvels of Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and the Amazon jungle. The historic heart of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage site and this is where many of Lima's museums, churches and colonial treasures are conveniently located, and is best explored on foot.

Port:Callao

Callao is the chief seaport of Peru and has a rich maritime heritage and vibrant urban culture. Located adjacent to Lima, it serves as a vital link between the capital city and the world.

Callao boasts an intriguing mix of colonial architecture and street art, most notably in the regenerated neighbourhood of La Punta, where visitors can stroll along the seaside promenade enjoying the ocean breeze.

The Real Felipe Fortress, a historical bastion against pirate attacks, dominates the local landscape with its imposing presence. Now a museum, it offers a deep dive into the area's colonial past.

Callao is also the gateway to the Palomino Islands, where visitors can see large colonies of sea lions and seabirds.

Although a Polynesian island in southeastern Pacific Ocean, Easter Island is an overseas territory of Chile. The island received its name from a Dutch explorer who encountered the island on Easter Sunday in 1722.

The island is famous for its mysterious, monumental statues, called moai, created by the Rapanui people. A total of 887 monolithic stone statues have been inventoried. The native islanders who carved them used only stone hand chisels, mainly basalt toki, which still lay in place throughout the island. Ships will anchor offshore and tenders will be provided to the shore.

Spend the day sailing in style aboard your boutique hotel at sea. Indulge in a treatment at Sanctum Spa, stay ship shape with a class at our fitness center, or lounge the day away on our sunny pool deck. In the evening, savor inspired Italian cuisine at Aqualina, or relish in a classic steakhouse experience at Prime C. Plus, you’ll find plenty of exciting evening entertainment, from thrilling shows at Cabaret Lounge to intimate performances in the Living Room.

With around 50 residents on the island, Adamstown is the capital of the Pitcairn Islands and the only populated settlement, as all of the other Pitcairn Islands are uninhabited.

Here you can get a firsthand insight into the living history and culture of the people of Pitcairn Island - the direct descendants of Pitcairn's first European settlers, the HMS Bounty mutineers.

On shore visit the local museum that houses the HMS Bounty Bible, the historic Adamstown Church, view Fletcher Christian’s cave, or keep an eye out for the Pitcairn Reed Warbler.

Bucket list cruise   0 , Qld, Australia, Nov 2024
Ron and I went off on the azamara in the Caribbean to tick off another item on our bucket list. The cruise didn’t disappoint. Loved to places we went and the boat and staff excellent. Only criticism is smoking on the boat right near the pool bar 😝 Thanks Georgie for everything ❤️
Land of fire and ice   1 , WA, Australia, Jul 2024
Perfect cruise around Iceland with Azamara Onward. Everything was perfect. The ship was a perfect size to negotiate the fjords and tricky harbours safely. The itinerary around Iceland featured key and high value ports. Highly recommend.
Excellent itinerary 7 , VIC, Australia, Sep 2023
We chose this particular cruise because of the itinerary visiting the various islands of the Mediterranean we hadn’t been to before. We enjoyed the open seating in the main restaurant and the food was excellent. Our cabin was good although the shower cubicle was very small.
