Wonderful Britain & Ireland Explorer 9 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2017
This was our third tour with Insight and Global Journeys and we were not disappointed and Georgie did a wonderful job organising our trip again!

Our Tour Director Cameron Wilson did a superb job and Stuart did a wonderful job of driving the bus. We did all the optional extras but unfortunately we very disappointed with the Beatles Tour in Liverpool, ...read more being a Beatles fan, but overall the rest were very good. The tour was fast paced but we expected that with so much to see in a short time.
The accommodation was excellent overall and the coach as always was roomy and comfortable. We had 40 on the bus with 9 Aussies and the rest from the Us and Canada and we all got along well. We were given a wonderful taste of Britain and Ireland and would love to go back and see more, particularly Scotland and Ireland.
Britain & Ireland Explorer 1 , Qld, Australia, Oct 2016
We thoroughly enjoyed our Britain & Ireland Explorer tour. Our tour director Cherryl Duke was so knowledgeable and kept us all entertained with her stories! Great itinerary and pace, just what we wanted. We booked this tour through Global Journeys and would definitely book with them again. Our consultant, Hannah Campbell, was wonderful and took care ...read more of everything for us. Thank you Hannah! We wouldn't hesitate to book with Global Journeys and Insight Vacations again.
Quite well organised and fulfilled my expectations. 6 , WA, Australia, Sep 2016
I wasn't impressed with the Alba. The rooms were lovely but the atmosphere was not nice. Plus we had to evacuate due to a faulty fire alarm and two weeks later it went off again. The trip was overall good but a bit rushed at times and things changed a little for convenience. eg. we missed having decent time at Grassmere as we went to it on the way ...read more rather than come back the next day. It made us late to our accommodation as it was getting dark when we visited. We also arrived at Cardiff Castle at ten to 5.00. The castle closed at 5.00. A part refund was given but it would have been good to see what we went to see. Some hotels were terrific, some average. The carpet in the breakfast room in Edinburgh was disgusting. There was no hot water at Dooleys and the food in Chester left a lot to be desired. The tour guide was knowledgeable and everything went smoothly and was well organised. It was pretty much what I expected. I would like to see the tips for the tour guide and coach driver added to the tour price to save having to keep money to one side.
Well paced tour with a brilliant guide 4 , WA, Australia, Jul 2015
What a tremendous introduction to the British Isles. A well paced tour with a brilliant guide Christina Bader and excellent coach driver Adrian . They both managed to make our tour a wonderful experience. Tremendous scenery and city highlights with expertly organised and resourced maps to guide us around cities on our own. The coach was excellent with ...read more the additional room for legs and luggage and the seat rotation policy meant meeting everyone on the bus. Highlights were Blair Castle, Scottish scenery, lakes district in Scotland and England especially Bowness hotel,Waterford Chrystal tour, sheepdog farm, Liverpool options and probably most important the range of people from Canada USA Singapore and Australia that galvanised together to make the whole journey great fun. Celebrating birthdays and special occasions was a lovely touch.
Absolutely excellent tour guide 2 , Australia, Jun 2012
Paul Fisher was our tour guide and was absolutely excellent. If I did another Insight tour I would definitely want him as the Tour Guide. The only negative part of tour was our stay at the Thistle Marble Arch. It was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our nine week trip through Europe and probably the one we enjoyed the least. We moved up ...read more from the Lancaster Gate hotel to the Thistle on your recommendation and on hindsight we should have stayed at the Lancaster and caught a taxi up on the morning. You need to give serious thought to recommending the Thistle. I would be grateful if you could pass this on to Insight. (Ed. Thanks for your feedback, we will talk to Insight and take onboard your comments regarding the Thistle)
