Best of Spain & Portugal   1 , VIC, Australia, Mar 2024
This tour was an excellent way to see Spain and Portugal and made even more delightful by our Tour Director Denise Lamas whose knowledge of the countries and their history and customs was exceptional as well as her kindness and friendliness to all. There were 36 on the Tour and as a solo traveller I was given a friendly welcome by all. Easter week ...read more in Spain was very special and in spite of the crowds there was an atmosphere of unity everywhere. The highlights of the tour were the visit to Seville and the perfume of the orange blossom, the snow capped Sierras and the Alhambra, the lunch with village ladies in their homes and of course the amazing Segrada Familia by Gaudi in Barcelona. I would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to visit Spain and Portugal.
Best of Spain and Portugal   1 , WA, Australia, Mar 2019
I would travel with Insight Vacations again. Nice group of people. Tour Director was great and coach driver amazing. Some of the meals on the optional excursions were below my expectations.
Great Itinerary 4 , QLD, Australia, Feb 2019
This was a great way to see the highlights of Spain & Portugal. We were so incredibly fortunate to have Brad as our truly exceptional Tour Director. His knowledge of every aspect of both countries added an extra dimension to the trip. The quality of accommodation was very good & the optional tours were worthwhile with excellent guides. February proved ...read more to be a perfect time to travel as the crowds were smaller than at other times & the weather was sunny & mild. I would be happy to travel with Insight again.
Spain and Portugal 1 , NSW, Australia, Nov 2018
Great sights, scenery, tapas and Sangria everywhere. Would love to go back to Salamanca and Seville. Porto quite run down and still undergoing renovations. Lisbon was very nice and stylish.
Fabulous & Worry Free! 9 , New Zealand, Dec 2016
Tour was fantastic from start to finish as everything went seamlessly and practically worry free with all details seen to by Insight Vacations. We find the winter in Spain very pleasant weather and temperature wise, but would recommend piling on the winter clothing in Salamanca! All the sights and places visited on the tour were breathtakingly beautiful, ...read more with an enviable rich background of their history and culture. We enjoyed the local cuisine arranged by Insight Vacations on certain signature dinners/lunch but well balanced with free time to explore on our own to appease our adventurous appetite at the same time!

Another highlight was our tour group. We were fortunate to have on board a great bunch of people that came from various parts of the world to share the experience with. We were quite sorry to part ways at the end of the tour! And last but not least was our main tour guide, Elena Lopez Carre. She was entertaining, knowledgeable, professional and very helpful with each and everyone of us. We would love to have a tour guide like her again on all our future tours! Worth mentioning were some of the local guides we had, like Ruffo in Madrid, Carlos in Toledo and Roland in Malaga, they were the best!

On a final note to Insight Vacations, as this was a winter tour, we wished we had a day less in Torremolinos ( which is more suitable as a summer spot )and have that extra day in Valencia instead of just a mere 1 day. Valencia is worth at least 2 days in our opinion. All in all, we are very happy with Insight Vacations and will definitely travel with them again in the future.
Great holiday 3 , Australia, Jan 2016
Hassle free holiday. Booking was straight forward and kept informed throughout process. In the time saw some great sights in both Spain and Portugal. Some long driving days but these were broken up with lunch stops in beautiful villages. Travelling during winter was a bonus as avoided summer crowds. Insight Tours are a very professional company.
