From Bordeaux to Lisbon, Ponant invites you on a cruise along the shores of the Atlantic to discover the French, Spanish and Portuguese coasts. Enjoy a different experience of the Atlantic Ocean during an 8-day trip aboard Le Bellot. The ship will set sail from Bordeaux, considered the wine capital of the world, to reach your first port of call, Pauillac. Here, several visits and wine tastings at some beautiful wine estates in the Saint-Estèphe, Margaux and Pauillac appellations will enable you to explore the region in the best possible way. Your ship will then set a course for San Sebastian. In the heart of the Spanish Basque Country, you will fall in love with this city's shell-shaped bay, its opulent buildings and its narrow little streets. Le Bellot will then sail to the capital of the region, Bilbao.

Here, you will be able to enjoy the city's unique energy, its daring architecture and its ancestral traditions. Your next port of call will be in Galicia, in the city of Vigo, Spain's biggest fishing port. Not far from there, Santiago de Compostela awaits you. This unmissable pilgrimage destination is home to a number of monuments from the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque periods, testimony to its illustrious past. Leixoes will be the next stop on your cruise.

From there, you will have the opportunity to visit Porto. Capital of the northern region of Portugal, this 'city of granite, the centre of which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, is renowned for its wine. Your cruise will come to an end in Lisbon, sitting on the Tagus River, distilling its one-of-a-kind charm imbued with rich history.

Port:Pauillac

Discover Pauillac, a town in southwestern France located a few kilometres away from Bordeaux, stretching along the Gironde. The undisputed capital of Médoc, Pauillac will open up its magical universe for you, from culture and heritage to vineyards and châteaux. This stop will be a voyage of myriad flavours, particularly during the tasting of the region’s wines, revealing their soft ruby colours and reflections turning amber with time. Enjoy both a sensorial adventure and an adventure into the heart of the town. Don’t miss the visit of Saint Martin’s Church or the mysterious grotto of Artigues, dominated by a statue of the Virgin Mary. As for the Aspic Tower, it is topped with a dome from which the harvesters’ work used to be overseen.

San Sebastian or Donostia is a decidedly French-influenced city seductively wrapped around the crescent Bay of La Concha. Located in the north of the Basque Country, the city is celebrated for its natural setting. Crystalline waters, flawless beaches and lush green hills on all sides make it a truly captivating city.

Surrounded by green mountains and lined by the beautiful blue water of the Bay of Biscay, Bilbao is magnificent mix of historic and spectacular modern architecture. Famed for its Guggenheim Museum, clad in glimmering titanium, this enormous structure is a work of art itself. Ships will dock in Getxo, which is a 20 minute drive from Bilbao.

During your journey at sea, make the most of the many services and activities on board. Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in the spa or stay in shape in the fitness centre. Depending on the season, let yourself be tempted by the swimming pool or a spot of sunbathing.

This journey without a port of call will also be an opportunity to enjoy the conferences or shows proposed on board, depending on the activities offered, or to do some shopping in the boutique or to meet the Ponant photographers in their dedicated space. As for lovers of the open sea, they will be able to visit the ship’s upper deck to admire the spectacle of the waves and perhaps be lucky enough to observe marine species. A truly enchanted interlude, combining comfort, rest and entertainment.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Santiago de Compostela has been an important pilgrimage centre for Christians since the 800's, when the tomb of the apostle James was believed to have been found by a hermit, guided to it by a bright light.

Centuries of building and subsequent preservation efforts have maintained a range of extraordinary architecture in the Old Town, including Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical styles. Ships will dock in Vilagarcia which is a 50 minute drive from Santiago De Compostela.

Port:Vigo

Cruise ships dock at Vigo Port, which is 90 kilometers (56 miles) from Santiago de Compostela, with a travel time of about 1.5 hours. The port is centrally located, making it easy to explore Vigo's attractions such as the historic Casco Vello district and El Castro Park before heading to Santiago de Compostela.

At the mouth of the Rio Douro lies Porto (or Oporto), a city famed for its production of Port, which is still stored and matured in the vast cellars that stretch along the banks of the river. The cities skyline is composed of sky-high bell towers, opulent baroque churches, and majestic beaux art buildings. Ships will dock at the Port of Leixoes.

Nearby, visit the Jerónimos Monastery, a masterpiece of Manueline architecture, where you can admire its intricate designs.

In the afternoon, explore the historic Alfama district, with its narrow, winding streets and traditional Fado music echoing from cozy taverns. Ride the famous Tram 28 to see landmarks like the Lisbon Cathedral and the São Jorge Castle. For a panoramic view of the city, head to the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte viewpoint.
