Itinerary

Arrive at Prague Václav Havel Airport. If your cruise/tour package includes a group arrival transfer or if you have purchased a private arrival transfer, you will be greeted by a Uniworld representative and transferred to the hotel. (D)

A magnet for generations of artists, writers, scientists and composers, Prague is famous for its dynamic energy and elegant ambiance (and the beers here are pretty amazing too). A thousand years of architecture, from ornate Gothic to fanciful postmodern, has been beautifully preserved here. (B)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Prague Old Town and Charles Bridge Walking Tour OR Hradčany Castle Visit

Leave Prague this morning and travel via motorcoach to Nuremberg, where your ship awaits. (D)

The archetypal medieval German city, Nuremberg was once the unofficial capital of the Holy Roman Empire, housing many German kings in the Kaiserburg castle complex. Later, this city became the epicenter of the Nazi party. When the end of WWII left Nuremberg almost completely leveled, it was chosen to be the site of the war crimes tribunal—the Nuremberg Trials. Now, most of the city has been restored, including the old castle. (B/L/WD)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Nuremberg City Walk & Art Bunker Visit OR Nuremberg City Tour with WWII Rally Grounds and Documentation Center Visits

Note: In the evening, a special Captain's Welcome Reception and Dinner will be prepared for you.

Bavaria's first capital, Regensburg, owes its impressive historical lineage and rich architectural heritage to 600 years as a Free Imperial City, a fact recognized by UNESCO in 2006. Today, you'll discover how the beautifully preserved medieval city coexists with a vibrant modern urban center. (B/L/D)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Regensburg Walk with Thurn and Taxis Castle Visit OR The Giant Sphere of Bavaria

Journey deep into the alluring Bavarian Forest National Park, Germany's first national park, and discover outdoor leisure at its best. (B/L/D)

Featured Excursion: Bavarian Forest Adventure

A new day brings new experiences in the “City of Three Rivers,” Passau, where the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers join together, at one time bringing an influx of wealth and culture into the region. (B/L/D)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Passau Walking Tour OR Let's Go: Hike along the Ilz River

On your way into the charming town of Spitz, you'll want to find a comfortable seat in the lounge or on the Sun Deck while your ship cruises through the Wachau Valley. Over the eons, the Danube cut a gorge through the foothills of the Bohemian Mountains, resulting in a 19-mile (30-kilometer) stretch of riverine scenery so beautiful, UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Landscape. (B/L/D)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Castle Clam Visit OR Village Day: Spitz

The grand dame of the Danube, Vienna was the heart of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and remains, to this day, the political and cultural center of Austria. Klimt painted here; Beethoven and Mozart composed here; Freud developed his theories here. It's a treasure trove of splendid architecture, astonishing art collections, and inviting cafés—and today it is yours to explore. (B/L/FD)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Schönbrunn Palace Visit OR Nights Out: Klosterneuburg Winery

Note: In the evening, a special Captain's Farewell Reception and Dinner will be prepared for you.

Enjoy a full day in Vienna at your leisure, perhaps by visiting one of the many museums in town or one of the city's famous coffee houses. (B/L/D)

Once hidden from the world behind the “Iron Curtain,” Slovakia retains an air of mystery and intrigue, and its small capital city has an unexpectedly colorful history. The heart and soul of Slovakia, Bratislava is full of surprises. The city straddles the mighty Danube and has played a leading role in the politics and culture of the region for many centuries. (B/L/D)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Coronation Tour with Cathedral Visit & Concert OR Let's Go: Hike to Bratislava Castle

Located on opposite sides of the Danube, Buda and Pest each have a distinctive character and allure. Explore this dynamic and multi-faceted city with your choice of excursions—you can see it from a local's perspective on a walking tour or cover more ground with a panoramic tour. (B/L/D)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Andrassy Avenue Walking Tour with Szabo Ervin Library OR Budapest Panoramic Highlights with Castle Hill

Welcome to Croatia! This ancient country, which has made a remarkable recovery from a brutal civil war, is noted for its beautiful countryside and thriving folk traditions, as well as simple, deliciously rustic food. (B/L/D)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Vučedol Culture Museum and Lunch at a Family Restaurant OR Syrmia Flora and Fauna with Agrotourism Lunch

Though not a national capital, Novi Sad is the capital of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, an ethnically diverse region with no less than 6 different official languages. Novi Sad is known for its easygoing atmosphere and thriving urban arts scene. (B/L/D)

Featured Excursions: Choice of Novi Sad Walking Tour OR Truffle Hunting Tour

Belgrade, the modern-day capital of Serbia, is one of Europe's oldest cities, dating back some 7,000 years. Signs of its tumultuous history are visible everywhere, juxtaposed with the city's vibrant modern-day present. (B/L/WD)

Note: In the evening, a special Captain's Farewell Reception and Dinner will be prepared for you.
