Wonder Norway Adventure   0 , NSW, Australia, Nov 2024
Amazing scenery all throughout the trip. Hurtigruten cruise part was really good and we saw the northern lights multiple times. Accommodation was really good locations for each stop. Definitely expect rain and lots of snow especially above the Arctic Circle.
Wonderful Tour Following The Lights     0 , NSW, Australia, Nov 2024
Tracey and the Global Journeys team were very helpful with our booking- as usual. Recommend arriving at least a day before in Oslo and at least 2 extra days in Helsinki. There is so much to see in Oslo and if the train to Helsinki is delayed this will not allow any time to see and do things around Helsinki without the extra stay. The tour was well placed ...read more and our guide Claudia was excellent and very helpful. Hotels were all in central locations for exploring the area in free time.

Hurtigruten operate an excellent coastal express cruise up the coast of Norway. Our ship the Ms Midnatsol was clean with friendly crew and great information sessions. Excursions were well organised. Despite it being winter and not much daylight our trip was wonderful! Saw the Northern Lights, stunning scenery, fun reindeer and husky rides. Towns weren’t crowded and shopkeepers were very friendly. If there was a disappointment it would be the Flam Railway. Think it was just the wrong time of year as the journey was a bit underwhelming. The train journey from Bergen to Myrdal was more impressive. Can recommend The Follow the Northern lights tour and of course Global Journeys. Thanks again!
Hurtigruten Follow the Lights     0 , NSW, Australia, Mar 2024
A fantastic tour by train from Oslo to Bergen, then up the Norwegian coast on a Hurtigruten ferry and down through Finland to Helsinki by coach and train. We understood that the Hurtigruten ferry was a working ship and might not be as comfortable as a cruise ship, but it exceeded our expectations. We had plenty of space in our cabin and the meals were ...read more all great. You get to see so many fascinating little villages as the ship travels north delivering supplies and people and we saw the northern lights from the ferry and then an even better display on land in Finland. One tip for the ferry - for added privacy spend a small bit extra for a cabin high enough to not have a walkway outside your window. The whole trip was brilliantly arranged by Tracey at Global Journeys who also booked our flights for us.
Amazing Scandinavian cruise and land package   3 , NSW, Australia, Mar 2024
An amazing adventure. Georgie from Global Journey was fantastic right from the start, communication was quick and helpful. The Hurigruten "cruise" was a wonderful experience, cruising up the coast of Norway as the amazing scenery unfolded before us. Cabin 514 was perfect, the bed right under the window with a great view all the way up the coast. The ...read more food on Hurtigruten certainly lived up to its reputation, very varied and all delicious. The excursion to North Cape was well worth it. The overland leg through Finland was well organised and a lot of fun. Reindeer and husky sled rides, a trip to Santa's village and a night at the Ice Hotel staying in a glass igloo. It certainly ticked all the boxes. Every aspect was fantastic and very well co ordinated.
A Spectacular Trip of Norway Fjords & Arctic     9 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2023
We sailed from beautiful Bergen in late Autumn to the north, sailing between coastal islands and up and down the majestic fjords. As we moved north the coming winter started to show, with falling snow as we enjoyed the ship’s hot spa on deck, we also caught the Northern Lights 3 times in a spectacular light show.

The ship with about 300 passengers ...read more is not the large cruising ship that some people may enjoy but a more personable experience from the Hurtigruten team, this is what myself and my wife enjoy. The towns further north were a winter wonderland with dry powdery snow and ice, so if you come at this time remember to pack the warm clothes and invest in some shoe spikes for walking! Overall a wonderful experience and such a memorable experience!
