Royal Caribbean ships offer designated smoking areas on board to accommodate guests, however, aside from these areas the ships are non-smoking.
Guests are permitted to smoke cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and pipes in the signed public smoking areas only but not in any staterooms, including on balconies. Passengers will find outdoor smoking areas on the starboard side of all ships except on Oasis Class ships where these zones can be found on the port side. On Oasis Class ships, Central Park and the Boardwalk neighbourhoods are non-smoking.
On most cruises smoking is permitted in Casino Royale and there is a signed non-smoking area for guest comfort. However, on ships departing from Australia and the United Kingdom smoking is not permitted in the casino and on those departing from China and Hong Kong smoking is permitted, but a non-smoking area is not offered.
It is important to dispose of all cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco properly and ashtrays are provided in designated smoking areas for guest convenience. Smoking refuse is never to be thrown overboard.
A violation of Royal Caribbean’s smoking policy may be subject to fines and further consequences. Signage throughout the ship will indicate smoking areas, however, if you are ever unsure where you can smoke onboard, Guest Services will be able to point you in the right direction.
