With 1500km of New Zealand's coastline, Marlborough Sounds is a collection of ancient sunken river valleys filled with the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Lyttelton Cruise Port is located about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from Christchurch's city centre which takes around 20 minutes.
