Celebrity Edge cruise to NZ   1 , NSW, Australia, Nov 2024
Everything about the ship was fantastic. Variety of food available was tremendous. Entertainment was out of this world and plenty to do. Service from the state room to the restaurants and bars was brilliant, in fact we got to know them personally and they work really hard. Pity about the weather which is out of anyone's control.
Smooth sailing   0 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2024
Thank you Hannah, all our bookings through you went well and we appreciate your assistance. The Cruise with Celebrity fortunately enjoyed good weather and smooth waters. We visited Portugal, Spain & the Canary Islands the latter we hadn't previously visited. They were good the standout being Madeira in Portugal, great place and good ship's excursion. ...read more The Celebrity Apex has good facilities and had excellent staff. Unfortunately there was a lot of "Nickle & diming" as my US friends would say i.e. they charge like wounded bulls for everything particularly drinks, extras such as bottled water and Speciality Restaurants. We would recommend that you get a deal which includes all these.
Japan cruise   2 , QLD, Australia, Aug 2024
I had a wonderful trip, thank you Global Journeys. It was well organised and you made the whole process very simple.
Best Of Greece   2 , Australia, May 2024
Great cruise with wonderful tours and friendly staff. There was an itinerary change which we only found out while into the cruise. Would have thought we would have been notified prior to boarding? More information on the ports visited would have been good.
Town maps were not issued but appeared to be available to guests?

Global Journeys were terrific by advising us everything we needed with plenty of updates and advice. Celebrity was a wonderful experience as we have never been on that long a cruise. Worry free cruise, good weather, good food   1 , ACT, Australia, Feb 2024
Very happy with the booking process, good cruise and good weather for our cruise in Greece. Optioned specialty restaurant is not necessary and quality not a lot of difference to main dining.
Relaxing cruise from Hong Kong to SIngapore   4 , VIC, Australia, Jan 2024
Celebrity Cruises is a reliable and reputable cruise line that offers the the great cuisine, entertainment and service. Lovely NZ Cruise   7 , NSW, Australia, Dec 2023
We booked a 13-night NZ cruise on the Celebrity Edge, and couldn't have asked for a nicer trip. The ship was lovely with nice accommodation and food, as well as an extensive range of on-board activities. The booking process was reasonably smooth, and Tracey held our position on the ship for an extra day whilst we were comparing options which was much ...read more appreciated. I have special needs; can I cruise with Celebrity Cruises?

You must ensure that you are medically and physically fit for travel, and that such travelling will not endanger yourself or anyone else. At the time of booking (or as soon as possible if the condition arises after booking) advise your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor about any medical or physical condition which will or may require medical treatment or attention during your holiday or which may or will affect your holiday in any way (including your use of any services or facilities).

Most of Celebrity’s ships have selected staterooms designated for guests with accessibility needs. Guests who use wheelchairs must provide their own collapsible wheelchair and may find certain areas of the ship inaccessible. If you would like to bring a motorised wheelchair or scooter on board you must advise your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor at time of booking and provide the dimensions, as size limitations may apply, and Celebrity Cruises may not be able to accommodate this request. Certain conditions (for example, use of tenders or some shore excursions) may prevent guests with wheelchairs from going ashore at certain ports of call.

Guests impacted by special needs or medical conditions must be self-sufficient or travel with someone who can provide all necessary assistance. Celebrity Cruises regret they must reserve the right to refuse to allow anyone to travel who, in their reasonable opinion, is physically or mentally unfit to travel or will or may require care beyond that which any travelling companion or they can reasonably provide. Please advise all needs and requirements to your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor.

Please note that Celebrity Cruises may be able to offer shore excursions for those guests with limited mobility, however, different charges may apply. Consult your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor when you book.

I am pregnant, can I still go on a Celebrity cruise?

Celebrity Cruises welcomes pregnant guests but (due to limited medical facilities on board) will not accept guests who will enter their 24th or later week of pregnancy by the beginning of, or at any time during their cruise. All pregnant guests are required to bring a doctor’s fit to travel letter with them to the pier, stating the number of weeks pregnant at date of sailing and that they are not a high risk pregnancy. A copy with your booking number included, should be provided to your Cruise Consultant.

I have special dietary requirements; can these be met?

Celebrity Cruises will use best endeavours to accommodate the following special dietary needs on board: food allergies, gluten free, vegetarian, diabetic, low-fat, low-sodium and low-cholesterol. Other special diets such as Kosher and lactose-free meals may be available upon advanced request. Please advise your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor of your special dietary needs when you book. Celebrity Cruises does not provide baby food.

Any dietary requirements caused by medical conditions must be provided to us at the time of booking. Please note that whilst Celebtriy Cruises are able to take requests for specific dietary requirements and take note of food intolerances, this is confined to the Main Dining Room on each ship. They are unable to guarantee or accept responsibility that the food served in any other food establishment on board our ships will be able to cater for specific dietary requirements and food intolerances.

What about Kosher meals?

Kosher meal requests must be supplied in writing 100 days prior to sail date for sailings in Australia/New Zealand and Asia; 90 days prior to the sail date for sailings in Europe and South America and 45 days prior for sailings in North America. Please note: Kosher meals are pre-packed and are only available for dinner in the main restaurant.

Special Service Requirements

To accommodate special services or requirements such as dietary requirements, medical requirements, pier embarkation assistance, wheelchair use etc please let your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor know when you book.

Other special requests

If you have a special request such as for a baby cot (crib) or refrigerator, please give details in writing to your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor at the time of booking. Celebrity Cruises does not guarantee special requests can be met. Whilst Celebrity Cruises and their suppliers will endeavour to meet reasonable special requests, they regret they cannot guarantee that they/the supplier will be able to do so.

Not meeting any special request for any reason will not be a breach of contract on Celebrity Cruises part. If a special request can only be met at an additional cost, that cost will either be invoiced to you prior to departure or will be payable locally by you. Unless specifically agreed by Celebrity Cruises at the time of booking, they cannot accept any booking which is conditional on a special request being satisfied. Such bookings will be treated as ‘normal’ bookings subject to the above comments on special requests.

What are Celebrity Cruise’s Passport Requirements?

A valid passport is a requirement for all international sailings and air travel. You need enough blank visa pages within the passport for visa stamps. Celebrity Cruises recommend that your passport expiry date not occur within six (6) months following the end of your cruise.

What visas will I need?

You will need to contact the Embassy (Consular Services) of each country on your sailing itinerary for specific visa requirements, information, forms and fees for your nationality. More information can be found here.

Will I need inoculations for my cruise?

All guests must ensure that they are medically and physically fit for travel. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) provide guidelines as to which vaccinations are required in each country. In many cases inoculations are recommended but, in some circumstances, they are required. Celebrity Cruises recommend you consult with your doctor.

What Family Legal Documents do I need to take with me?

Should the last names of the parent and minor child traveling with them differ, the parent is required to present the child's valid passport and visa (if required) and the child's government-issued birth certificate (original, a notarized copy, or a certified copy). The name of the parent(s) and the child must be linked through legal documentation.

What do I need to do if I’m traveling with a minor and I am not their parent or legal guardian?

Adults who are not the parent or legal guardian of any minor child traveling with them are required to present the child's valid passport and visa (if required) or the child's government-issued birth certificate (original, a notarized copy or a certified copy) and an original notarized letter signed by at least one of the child's parents. The notarized letter from the child's parent must authorize the traveling adult to take the child on the specific cruise and must authorize the traveling adult to supervise the child and permit any medical treatment that must be administered to the child. If a non-parent adult is a legal guardian, the adult must present a certified Certificate of Guardianship with respect to the child.

I take daily medication; can I bring it on board?

Guests must ensure that they bring an adequate supply of any medication they require for the entire duration of the cruise. The ship's medical centres may not have a supply of any needed medication and not all medication will be available in the ports-of-call. Guests should pack medication in their carry-on luggage to ensure you always have immediate access if needed.

Where do I find my cruise reservation documents?

Your cruise documents will be electronic (eDocs). You will receive an email when your eDocs are ready with a link to the documents. You will be able to enter your reservation number (which will be provided by your Global Journeys Cruise Advisor), last name, ship and sail date to access and print the documents. The cruise document email will also provide information on online check-in, which is available up to 4 days prior to the voyage.

How do I get luggage tags for my Celebrity cruise?

Guests who have received their electronic cruise document (eDoc) and have an assigned stateroom number may request their complimentary luggage tags by logging on to Online Check-in. Luggage tags may be requested as soon as you receive your eDocs, up until 11 days prior to sailing. Luggage tags will be available upon arrival at the pier for guests with a guarantee stateroom or for guests who do not submit a request at least 11 days prior to sailing.

If you receive printed cruise documents (at extra cost) your customised set of luggage tags will be included in your printed document book.

Can I check in online?

For your convenience, Celebrity Cruises offer a check in facility on their website up to 4 days before your sailing. By checking in online for your cruise, you will significantly speed up your check-in process and will be able to board the ship sooner and avoid delays and queues at the cruise terminal.

What is the on board dress code?

Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. Up to two nights on every cruise 7 days or longer or one night on cruises 6 days or less, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire and includes a cocktail dress, skirt, pants or designer jeans with an elegant top for women and pants or designer jeans with a dress shirt, button-down shirt or sweater and optional sport coat or blazer for men. Evening Chic means that you can get glamorous and be sophisticated in your own way. If you would like to still wear a tuxedo or formal gown on Evening Chic nights, you absolutely should.

Smart Casual attire can be enjoyed every other night of your cruise.

Celebrity Expedition cruises will continue to feature casual attire for the entire cruise.

What should I pack?

Shorts, t-shirts, slacks, trousers, casual skirts, blouses and sundresses are all perfect during the day. For lounging by the pool, pack bathing suits and casual shoes (e.g. flip-flops, sandals, trainers). You’ll also need casual shorts and t-shirts or a cover-up for getting to and from the pool areas. If you’re planning to visit the on board fitness centre then bring shorts, t-shirts and socks plus a pair of tennis or running shoes/trainers.

What is the luggage allowance for each passenger?

Each guest is permitted to carry up to 90kgs of luggage. However, for your comfort and convenience, it is recommended that you limit the number of pieces you take as they will have to be stored in your stateroom. If you are flying, check with your airline for specific baggage allowance and any additional charges.

What about packing my valuable belongings?

Please make sure that all valuable and important items (for example, medicines, jewellery, fragile items, important travel and other documents, video/camera/computer equipment) are carried by hand and not packed in your luggage or left unsecured in your stateroom or elsewhere on board ship.

For your protection once on board, all valuable and important items should be deposited with the Guest Relations Desk or, where available, in your stateroom mini-safe. You are also strongly advised to take out appropriate and adequate insurance to protect such items.

What items can’t be brought on board?

Weapons, illegal drugs, and other items that could interfere with the safe operation of the ship or the safe and secure environment of guests and crew are prohibited.

The following are examples of items that guests are not allowed to bring on board. These and other similar items will be confiscated. Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, flammable liquids, explosives, and dangerous chemicals will not be returned.

Is my stateroom furnished with amenities that I don’t need to pack?

All stateroom bathrooms are equipped with soap, shampoo, conditioner and a wall-mounted hair dryer. All ships in the fleet have at least one North American and one European outlet in every stateroom. Millennium Class and Solstice Class ships each have multiple North American and European outlets.

Steamers or irons are not allowed on board. However, there is a full laundry and dry-cleaning service available on board for reasonable rates. All suites have a safe located in the closet. All staterooms have a safe behind the desk mirror or in the closet.

Is there Wi-Fi on board?

Most ships in Celebrity’s fleet offer Xcelerate®, their newly enhanced high-speed Internet service. Xcelerate® allows you to browse web sites faster, stay in touch with video calling, and stream your favourite TV shows and movies. Use your own smartphone, tablet, or laptop to connect, or use one of the workstations in the Celebrity iLoungeSM which is open 24 hours a day. Choose from a variety of Internet packages to suit your needs. Xcelerate® will be available soon on all Celebrity ships, except Celebrity Xpedition® which offers Wi-Fi in public areas.

Cellular at Sea

Celebrity Cruises are pleased to offer an advanced cellular roaming network that allows you to make calls from anywhere in the world using your own mobile phone and number. If your network provider supports them, you may also be able to access GPRS and GSM services such as email, web access, and text messaging. Guests are encouraged to check with their providers prior to sailing, to enable roaming and check rates. All international roaming charges will be billed to your home carrier.

Who will help me with questions once I am on board the ship?

The On board Guest Relations Desk is available 24 hours a day. The Desk operates as your source of general information, postmaster, as well as providing general information on customs and immigration.

What is the electrical voltage equipped for Celebrity ships?

All Celebrity ships are equipped with North American standard, 110 Volts AC and standard European 220/230 Volts AC outlets. If you are using an Australian or NZ device you’ll need to take an adaptor with you.

What medical services are available on board?

There is a medical centre staffed by qualified doctors and/or nurses on board all Celebrity Cruises ships. The medical services available and medications kept on board are limited, and you should pack an adequate supply of any specific medications you require. On board medical facilities are not intended or designed to serve as a clinic for guests.

Please note that there is a charge for all medical services provided by the on board medical centre (including medication, consultations and treatments) and charges are not covered by private health insurance policies or by Australian Medicare and the New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation (including cruises sailing to only Australian and New Zealand ports). We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance that will cover any such charges. Please check with your insurer that such charges are covered by the insurance that you purchase.

There is no medical centre on Celebrity Xpedition or Flora. On Celebrity Xpedition & Flora there is usually one licensed (under Ecuadorian law) physician in attendance on board.

What is Captain's Club and how do I join?

Captain's Club is Celebrity Cruises' recognition and rewards program. There are currently six tiers: Preview, Classic, Select, Elite, Elite Plus and Zenith. The more you sail, the more rewarding your experience becomes.

Does Captain’s Club offer reciprocity with other Royal Caribbean Cruises brands?

Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, and Azamara Club Cruises offer reciprocal benefits to members enrolled in their loyalty programs.

Celebrity's Captain's Club program offers reciprocity with Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor program and Azamara's Le Club Voyage program. Captain's Club Classic members receive Le Club Voyage Adventurer benefits. Ask you Global Journeys Cruise Advisor how this works.

Terms & Conditions All the boring small print. We recommend you read them, as no one likes surprises!
