Cruise Itinerary

Departs: 17:00-18:45*

There are two dedicated cruise passenger terminals - the White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay in the city centre. This is your opportunity to marvel at Australia’s famous icons, the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge as you glide past The Heads - the dramatic sandstone cliffs at the entrance of the harbour.

While at sea, take the time to recharge before the next adventure. Lounge by the pool, be spoiled at the spa, taste the delicacies or explore the venues on-board, until we arrive at the next amazing destination.

Arrives: 10:00 Departs: 18:00

The Bay of Islands, a stunning archipelago encompassing 144 islands and including the boutique towns of Opua, Paihia, Russell and Kerikeri, is famed for its turquoise waters and rich Māori history. Take a boat tour to explore the iconic Hole in the Rock or spot dolphins. Visit Russell, a picturesque town with colonial history, or the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, where New Zealand’s founding document was signed. Your ship will anchor in the bay, just off Russell, and you'll tender ashore.

Arrives: 06:00-07:00* Departs: 16:00-17:00*

Known as the city of sails, Auckland is built on a narrow strip of land surrounded by two harbours, dotted with 50 picturesque islands. In the centre, the iconic Sky Tower has views of Viaduct Harbour, which is full of superyachts and lined with bars and cafes.Volcanic cones, forest parks and stunning beaches are all within easy reach.

In downtown Auckland you can enjoy world-class dining, shopping, and sights. If you've a mind to explore, visit the island volcano of Rangitoto, or head to Waiheke, known as 'the island of wine' each are within a 40 minute ferry ride of your port.

Your day at sea offers the opportunity to relax at the adults-only Solarium, or enjoy live music and games by the pool. In the evening, treat yourself to a gourmet dinner, watch a riveting performance at our high-tech theater, or enjoy cocktails at one of the lounge bars. End your day with a movie night under the stars, topping off a memorable day at sea.

The international date line, established in 1884, passes through the mid-Pacific Ocean and roughly follows a 180 degrees longitude north to south line on the Earth. It does zigzag around political borders such as eastern Russia and Alaska’s Aleutian Islands.

Crossing the date line eastbound decreases the date by one day, while crossing the date line westbound increases the date. So when you cross east to west you always lose a day and crossing from west to east you get the same day twice (or gain a day).

Your day at sea offers endless opportunity for activity and relaxation. Enjoy enriching onboard experiences like hot glass classes and archery tournaments, and you can send the kids to Camp at Sea for a fun-filled day of activities. Visit the state-of-the-art fitness center, where floor-to-ceiling windows provide stunning ocean views, and indulge in your choice of dining options, from breakfast to late-night snacks.

Arrives: 10:00-11:00* Departs: 20:00-21:00*

Discover the mountainous island of Raiatea, one of French Polynesia’s most exquisite destinations, considered sacred by the local people. With some of the world’s most lush, unspoiled nature, ribbon-like waterfalls, and pristine lagoons, it’s easy to understand Raiatea enchants those who visit. You’ll discover idyllic, white-sand beaches fringing the islet of Motu Iriru, or have a chance to join a snorkel or dive adventure at Te Mara Nui. Her beauty once inspired artist Paul Gauguin. Now she'll do the same for you. Papeete is an excellent home base from which to enjoy a French Polynesia cruise to explore the culture, beaches, and milky blue lagoons. Beach lovers can sunbathe and relax on Tahiti’s distinctive white-sand, pink-sand, and even black-sand beaches. Natural ribs of fringing reef transform the coast into brilliant aquamarine lagoons with gentle water, perfect for swimming and soaking. Tahiti has captivated the European and western imagination for centuries with tales of free love, simple living off the island’s naturally-growing fruit trees, and a landscape characterized by breathtaking mountains and crystal-clear oceans.

On cruises to Tahiti, adventure-seekers can enjoy snorkeling, diving, jet skiing, and some of the world’s best surfing. Stroll Papeete’s lively waterfront where roulottes, or local food trucks, serve everything from Tahitian favorites to French delicacies. A Luxury cruise to the Barrier Reef   0 , SA, Australia, Jan 2025
The Celebrity Edge is a magnificent vessel. There is a title of a song by Metallica called “Nothing Else Matters”, and when you're on that vessel that is exactly how you feel. The balcony cabins had very large bathrooms, the meals were delicious, the staff friendly and the shore excursions were efficiently coordinated. The highlights of the Barrier ...read more Reef cruise for me were the cruise itself, the meals, and the swims over 2 days in Port Douglas, and the stroll in Palm Cove. January was a tricky time of year to travel due to a storm in Sydney which delayed us leaving the port by one day, so we missed a day in Cairns.

There are a few issues that I had, but they may be minor depending on your perspective. For example, all the prices were in U.S. dollars, and if you bought drinks, then there was a 20% surcharge/ tip added to your bill. Also, since this was a luxury cruise, the optional visits seemed to be very expensive. I found that the few dance floors were very small when you consider that there were almost 3000 passengers on board. The shows had a lot of variety but not as spectacular as the ones that I saw on a P&O 4-day cruise a year ago. The meals were great, but it was surprising when eating in the restaurants, that every day, one out of the three columns on the menu was identical. Also, a certain amount of the vessel was off limits unless you were in the specialty suites or exclusive Aqua class.

Nevertheless, I look forward to going on another cruise with Celebrity and appreciate the professionalism and expertise of Hannah and Global Journeys, with whom I have already booked another cruise.
Celebrity Edge cruise to NZ 1 , NSW, Australia, Nov 2024
Everything about the ship was fantastic. Variety of food available was tremendous. Entertainment was out of this world and plenty to do. Service from the state room to the restaurants and bars was brilliant, in fact we got to know them personally and they work really hard. Pity about the weather which is out of anyone's control.
Lovely NZ Cruise 7 , NSW, Australia, Dec 2023
We booked a 13-night NZ cruise on the Celebrity Edge, and couldn't have asked for a nicer trip. The ship was lovely with nice accommodation and food, as well as an extensive range of on-board activities. The booking process was reasonably smooth, and Tracey held our position on the ship for an extra day whilst we were comparing options which was much ...read more appreciated. Tracey was also more than willing to answer any questions we had, and was overall very helpful. No regrets with this trip!
