Overview

Setting off from the coastline of Jordan, this 10-day cruise travels from Aqaba and back again, revealing the age-old wonders of Jordan, Egypt and Israel. From beautiful Aqaba known for its captivating history and magical diving sites, we navigate to Ain Sokhna and Safaga. After reaching the tip of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula to explore the glamorous resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, Emerald Azzurra sets sail to the hotspot of Eilat and returns to Aqaba to conclude our journey.

Itinerary

Arrive in Aqaba and step aboard your luxurious Emerald Cruises superyacht to embark on an unforgettable cruise to explore Jordan, Egypt and Israel.

Please book your flight to arrive into Aqaba prior to 07:00 PM. (D)

On the edge of the Red Sea, Aqaba, Jordan's only coastal city, is renowned for its stunning coral reefs and sunken vessels. Divers and snorkellers are drawn to warm, clear waters to explore these underwater ecosystems. Beyond its natural allure, Aqaba holds a significant place in history. (B/L/D)

Relish the nautical adventure of a lifetime with some relaxing time at sea. Enjoy the lavish comforts of your luxury yacht — slide into the infinity-style pool where the water touches the horizon; ascend to the Sky Deck to drink in panoramic views or relax in the Observation Lounge. (B/L/D)

Positioned on the western shore of the Red Sea's Gulf of Suez, Ain Sokhna is an elegant seaside town. It's only two hours from the Egyptian capital, Cairo, making it the perfect base for visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. (B/L/D)

Safaga is an enchanting Egyptian city that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, water sports, and interesting history. The former fishing village is known for its fresh air, black sand dunes, and mineral springs. (B/L/D)

Safaga serves as a gateway to some of Egypt's most iconic historical sites that bring you into the heart of authentic Egypt. One of them is Luxor, used to be known as “The city of Hundred Doors “. It is considered by many to be the world's greatest open-air museum where some of the most majestic temples lie. (B/L/D)

On the tip of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula is the glamorous resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh. Here, the desert meets the sea, creating an environment rich in biodiversity and a melting pot of cultures. You could dive into the fascinating world beneath the Red Sea's surface, stroll through ancient mosques or bustling bazaars. (B/L/D)

Eilat, on the edge of Negev Desert between Egypt and Jordan and encircled by unique rock formations, is a destination of sun, sea and desert. Famous for water sports and incredible natural beauty, Eilat is the gateway to the Coral World Underwater Observatory with Aquarium Museum, Shark Tank, Turtle and Stingray Pool. (B/L/D)

In prehistoric times, Aqaba's coastal location meant it flourished as an epicentre of trade and communication. Its importance grew even more during the Iron Age when it was part of the biblical kingdoms of Edom, Moab, and later the Nabatean kingdom. In modern times, Aqaba has emerged as a major tourist destination known for its warm waters, rich marine life, and its impressive history. (B/L/D)

Your luxurious yacht cruise concludes in Aqaba, where you'll be transferred to the airport for your return flight home or to continue your holiday.

Please book your flight to depart out of Aqaba after 08:00 AM.

The itinerary is a guide only and may be amended for operational reasons. As such Emerald Cruises cannot guarantee the cruise will operated unaltered from the itinerary states above. (B)

Impressive ship and itinerary   1 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2024
This was our first time with Emerald Azzuarra having previously travelled on the Scenic Eclipse. We loved the relaxed and non crowded feel of Azzurra. Being a smaller ship it was able to go to ports the bigger cruise lines cannot reach which was fabulous. We realized how great this was when we visited places like Debrovnick and Split that had 3-4 ...read more other big cruise lines in port and the places were PACKED! This itinerary was fabulous. We travelled mostly overnight and woke up each morning to a postcard view of a new town. The Croatian coastline and towns were stunning. Montenegro was just as beautiful, and whilst Albania was interesting , one day was perfect. Coming through the Corinth Cananl with only centimetres to spare on either side was a highlight.

The Emerald Azzurra crew were also amazing. Friendly, personable and attentive. Nothing was a problem for them. There are a few things Emerald need to work on such as food choices and consistency of quality though. We were told they are bringing people from Scenic Eclipse to elevate the experience. Emerald Azzurra is not in the class of Scenic Eclipse yet but has all the elements to be just as impressive with a bit more work. Overall we loved the trip and would travel with Emerald again.
My Perspective   1 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
My wife and I have just returned from our cruise on board the Azzurra. For my wife it was her first time on the open seas, and for me, an opportunity to experience small ship cruising with one of our long term cruise line partners. I'm the CEO of of Global Journeys, so I thought I should put in some extra effort and provide you with a thorough review ...read more of our experience on board and on shore. Our rating gives it away a bit...but it's not all smooth sailing! Read my full review here if you're interested, but if not, then suffice to say, small ship cruising with Emerald will be a new experience for many and we'd both recomend this cruise and the ship to our friends and family.
Amazing Azzurra 5 , VIC, Australia, May 2023
Eleven days of pure bliss, our expectations were surpassed on this voyage from Athens to Athens. We could not fault any aspect of our time aboard or any of the activities we enjoyed. Special mentions go to Karen (activities), Paul (chef & his crew) and Ozay in the spa.
