Amazing, magical, memorable and…just book it - Bunnik Tours, Egyptian Discovery!   1 , QLD, Australia, Oct 2024
We enjoyed every nanosecond of our tour from the moment we were met by Saeed at the airport until he saw us off again after a most memorable tour. Bassem (our guide, very approachable and a knowledgeable Egyptologist) also deserves a special mention for making our tour exceptional.

To choose a highlight is near impossible as the whole tour was probably ...read more one of, if not the best that we’ve ever done. (We’ve visited close to 60 countries over the past ten years). The Nile River Cruise, Dendera Temple Complex, Tombs of the Nobles and the Hot Air Balloon at Sunrise over the Valley of the Kings are noteworthy though and none of the Optional Excursions should be missed!

We were lucky enough that the new Great Egyptian Museum (GEM) opened during our tour and as a special gesture Bassem took us there on the last day of our tour - so special to be able to experience a visit to the largest museum of its kind in the world - thanks Bunnik Tours!

Our accommodation was very conveniently located and well appointed. Staying in the Four Seasons at Alexandria, Steigenberger Nile Palace at Luxor and Mövenpick Resort at Aswan was a real treat!

We added an extra day before and after the tour and it was so worth it – we were able to do an unforgettable privately booked Sunset Camel ride at the Giza Pyramids (what a magical start to our time spent in Egypt) and some other wonderful tours in Cairo with which Saeed very ably assisted.

Only Egypt offers the opportunity to cruise and sail on the Nile, the longest river in the world; visit GEM, the largest museum of its kind on the planet; enter the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Saqqara, the earliest known large-scale cut stone construction (built around 2650 BC) and touch the only surviving structure from the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - the Great Pyramid of Giza.

And lastly – thanks Hannah Campbell and Global Journeys (since 2017 we’ve booked 10 tours with great prices quoted) for your promptness and once again fine-tuning our journey by handling extra accommodation, special requirements etc and in the past dealing with unforeseen cancellations and changes due to the Covid Pandemic. We are looking forward to our next Bunnik Tour to Sri Lanka, coming up very soon!
Fabulous tour of Northern Japan.   0 , SA, Australia, Oct 2024
Bunnik's 'Colours of Northern Japan' was an enjoyable experience. We travelled from Tokyo to Sapporo by coach and Shinkansen (bullet train) with 18 other travellers plus Mitchi, our Japanese tour guide who was one of the best. Hotels in all cities were centrally located and comfortable, most near convenience stores and cafes. Breakfasts were always ...read more something to look forward to as were lunches and dinners, mostly Japanese cuisine. ,A dinner cruise around Tokyo Bay and the scenic cruise along Geibikei Gorge were part of the itinerary.

We visited temples, castles, attended a tie- dyeing workshop and painted traditional Kokeshi dolls both of which were a lot of fun.
Most of the hotels in the north had hot springs which were relaxing after a long, busy day travelling. Autumn leaves started appearing as we travelled further north and on the island of Hokkaido they were at their best. A visit to the Sapporo brewery was interesting as was the Sake brewing experience. We travelled with a very cohesive group which always makes it more enjoyable.
We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would certainly recommend an Autumn visit to this part of Japan.
Amazing adventure through 5-Stans and Ancient Silk Road.     0 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2024
This was my 9th booking with Global Journeys, although two were cancelled due to the pandemic. As usual, my booking request, and questions were answered promptly and professionally. It was such a pleasure to have Hannah Campbell deal with my booking. I have a 10th booking pending and I’m confident that it will be handled with the same efficiency. This ...read more was my 4th booking with Bunnik Tours, as they are exceptional value for money yet still provide that professional and friendly service. They are an Australian family owned and operated business, have exciting itineraries and operate with a maximum group of 20. I have already recommended Global Journeys, and Bunnik Tours to my family and friends for future travel.
Turkey & Greece   0 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2024
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Turkey & Greece with Bunnik. Organised perfectly by Georgie as always! We had great tour guides in each country, both enjoying passing on their extensive knowledge. So much history in both countries and the extra tours were enjoyable. The highlight was hot air ballooning in Cappadocia! Fantastic trip to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia     2 , NT, Australia, Aug 2024
The tour was well organised with tons to see, do and learn along the way, particularly given the rich history, geography and culinary experiences available in each country. The special tour inclusions including local cuisine masterclasses and singers/ musicians in unique locations were particularly memorable. Local guides in Azerbaijan and Georgia were ...read more extremely professional and attentive to the groups needs. The local guide in Armenia was also very knowledgeable however could enhance travellers experience even further by proactively sharing practical information with the group well in advance (e.g. how long until next comfort stop).

Overall this was a comprehensive, well-paced, safe, scenic tour with a wide variety of experiences on offer. Each church, mosque, monastery visited also offered a unique experience, often with breathtaking views at each location.

TIPS: Bring good walking shoes, there’s a few challenging landscapes to navigate, but totally worth it! There are many (safe to use) bank machines available in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia to withdraw local currency from including via Australian visa cards. Currency rates are often much better locally than, for example, exchanging AUD cash at Dubai airport. Tour guides also provide opportunities to change local currencies at each land border crossing. In Yerevan, Armenia, you can also change various international currencies at the SAS supermarket (close to Hilton DoubleTree Yerevan City Centre hotel).

@ Global Journeys - Excellent organisation/ facilitation as usual. You are the only travel company we continue to book directly with.
Wonderful Small Group Tour   1 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
We really enjoyed travelling with a group of 18 Australians. Our tour guide, Alan, was easy to get on with and he was very knowledgeable. The tour itself was interesting and varied. We particularly like the bus tour except our local tours always seemed to end when the shops were closed for siesta. More time to shop would have been wonderful. Turkiye and Greece adventure   2 , ACT, Australia, May 2024
Had a great (although fairly tiring) few weeks in Turkiye and Greece with a Bunnik tour. As always, Georgie from Global Journeys did a flawless job of organising everything. The flights home she found for us were amazing. 24 hours from Athens airport to home in Canberra! We'll be back in touch with Georgie soon to lock in our next trip. :)
Great Trip & Value fior Money   1 , VIC, Australia, May 2024
This trip was quite a pacey one. Well organised and filled with lots of interactive activities. The sushi & noodle making classes were most enjoyable together with calligraphy classes, paper making and visits to sumo exhibition, samurai & tea making exhibitions. So much to see and do. The people in Japan are very welcoming and the tour guide was very
knowledgable, ...read more friendly and welcoming.

Bunnik Small Group Touring
Bunnik Small Group Touring

When Marion Bunnik started Bunnik Tours, Australia didn't need another tour company - it needed a better way of touring! In an industry dominated by large multinationals and mass tourism, Bunnik Tours stands alone. Our aim is simple, to provide a better way for Australians to see the world. As a family business we understand that our family's name and reputation is at stake every time we sell a holiday. That's why we're proud to call these tours our own.

Bunnik's maximum group size is just 20, and even less for some tours in Asia & Africa. For us small groups make for a better holiday experience. They are more personal and you spend less time waiting and more time enjoying your holiday. Small groups are better for sustainability too! We get to visit smaller local businesses on our travels and stay in smaller centrally-located properties which are often impractical for large groups.

Return International Flights Included!
Return International Flights Included!

For Bunnik, it's all about providing you with flexibility to create your dream holiday which is why they provide both small group tours that include international airfares from Australia as well as land only small group tours. Their airfares have built-in flexibility so you're able to extend your stay, fly in or out of other cities or upgrade your flights to business or first class.

For tours where return international airfares have not been included, chat to our friendly Global Journeys Travel Advisors for the best advice. We have access to some fantastic fares.

Unique Local Experiences
Unique Local Experiences

Small group touring is about being shown around by locals and really capturing the essence of the destination. It means seeing the famous attractions but also wandering off the tourist trail. So much more than just a coach tour, you'll experience the culture, meet the locals and savour the wonderful food.

That's why we also include a range of experiences designed to capture the essence of the places we visit. Experiences like enjoying lunch with a local family in a small rural village in Sri Lanka, making Pizza in Sorrento, Italy, travelling by traditional style boats or exploring the deserts of India, Jordan and Morocco by camel!
