Fabulous tour of Northern Japan.   0 , SA, Australia, Oct 2024
Bunnik's 'Colours of Northern Japan' was an enjoyable experience. We travelled from Tokyo to Sapporo by coach and Shinkansen (bullet train) with 18 other travellers plus Mitchi, our Japanese tour guide who was one of the best. Hotels in all cities were centrally located and comfortable, most near convenience stores and cafes. Breakfasts were always ...read more something to look forward to as were lunches and dinners, mostly Japanese cuisine. ,A dinner cruise around Tokyo Bay and the scenic cruise along Geibikei Gorge were part of the itinerary.

We visited temples, castles, attended a tie- dyeing workshop and painted traditional Kokeshi dolls both of which were a lot of fun.
Most of the hotels in the north had hot springs which were relaxing after a long, busy day travelling. Autumn leaves started appearing as we travelled further north and on the island of Hokkaido they were at their best. A visit to the Sapporo brewery was interesting as was the Sake brewing experience. We travelled with a very cohesive group which always makes it more enjoyable.
We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would certainly recommend an Autumn visit to this part of Japan.
Amazing adventure through 5-Stans and Ancient Silk Road.     0 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2024
This was my 9th booking with Global Journeys, although two were cancelled due to the pandemic. As usual, my booking request, and questions were answered promptly and professionally. It was such a pleasure to have Hannah Campbell deal with my booking. I have a 10th booking pending and I’m confident that it will be handled with the same efficiency. This ...read more was my 4th booking with Bunnik Tours, as they are exceptional value for money yet still provide that professional and friendly service. They are an Australian family owned and operated business, have exciting itineraries and operate with a maximum group of 20. I have already recommended Global Journeys, and Bunnik Tours to my family and friends for future travel.
Turkey & Greece   0 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2024
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Turkey & Greece with Bunnik. Organised perfectly by Georgie as always! We had great tour guides in each country, both enjoying passing on their extensive knowledge. So much history in both countries and the extra tours were enjoyable. The highlight was hot air ballooning in Cappadocia! The weather was perfect throughout ...read more our trip and we enjoyed our cruise of the Greek Islands and visiting some of the islands. Looking forward to our next trip with Bunnik.
Fantastic trip to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia     2 , NT, Australia, Aug 2024
The tour was well organised with tons to see, do and learn along the way, particularly given the rich history, geography and culinary experiences available in each country. The special tour inclusions including local cuisine masterclasses and singers/ musicians in unique locations were particularly memorable. Local guides in Azerbaijan and Georgia were ...read more extremely professional and attentive to the groups needs. The local guide in Armenia was also very knowledgeable however could enhance travellers experience even further by proactively sharing practical information with the group well in advance (e.g. how long until next comfort stop).

Overall this was a comprehensive, well-paced, safe, scenic tour with a wide variety of experiences on offer. Each church, mosque, monastery visited also offered a unique experience, often with breathtaking views at each location.

TIPS: Bring good walking shoes, there’s a few challenging landscapes to navigate, but totally worth it! There are many (safe to use) bank machines available in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia to withdraw local currency from including via Australian visa cards. Currency rates are often much better locally than, for example, exchanging AUD cash at Dubai airport. Tour guides also provide opportunities to change local currencies at each land border crossing. In Yerevan, Armenia, you can also change various international currencies at the SAS supermarket (close to Hilton DoubleTree Yerevan City Centre hotel).

@ Global Journeys - Excellent organisation/ facilitation as usual. You are the only travel company we continue to book directly with.
Wonderful Small Group Tour   1 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
We really enjoyed travelling with a group of 18 Australians. Our tour guide, Alan, was easy to get on with and he was very knowledgeable. The tour itself was interesting and varied. We particularly like the bus tour except our local tours always seemed to end when the shops were closed for siesta. More time to shop would have been wonderful. Turkiye and Greece adventure   2 , ACT, Australia, May 2024
Had a great (although fairly tiring) few weeks in Turkiye and Greece with a Bunnik tour. As always, Georgie from Global Journeys did a flawless job of organising everything. The flights home she found for us were amazing. 24 hours from Athens airport to home in Canberra! We'll be back in touch with Georgie soon to lock in our next trip. :)
Great Trip & Value fior Money   1 , VIC, Australia, May 2024
This trip was quite a pacey one. Well organised and filled with lots of interactive activities. The sushi & noodle making classes were most enjoyable together with calligraphy classes, paper making and visits to sumo exhibition, samurai & tea making exhibitions. So much to see and do. The people in Japan are very welcoming and the tour guide was very

Amazing Adventure   1 , QLD, Australia, May 2024
Bunnik thought of everything. The small group of 20 was a very good way to travel; the accommodation was better than expected for 3 to 4 star rating; the tour guide was knowledgeable, professional and personable; the balance between guided tours and free time worked extremely well; the “special experiences” during the tour added to the enjoyment and ...read more the country side and cities/towns were spectacular.
A tour filled with contrasts   1 , NSW, Australia, May 2024
This was an enjoyable tour filled with interesting places, some lovely towns and villages, and great food. The weather was mainly cool with some rain at times. The itinerary was sometimes packed and rushed as there was so much to see. Our driver was outstanding. All in all, a very good tour. Amazing Andalucia   1 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2024
Fabulous (new) tour. Wonderful places everywhere we went. Outstanding tour leader, Antonio, who brought enthusiasm, knowledge, passion and great leadership qualities which enhanced the experience. The small, delightful group was such good company. As usual, the Global Journeys booking experience provided by Hannah was smooth and timely.
Japan Discovery Tour     1 , VIC, Australia, Mar 2024
Global Journeys were very efficient and kept the paperwork up to date all the way to embarkation. Itinerary: (Not sure if this is Bunnik's area). A visit to Tokyo tower could be included. The paragraph describing Hiroshima - Sat 30 March - was out of chronological order. This caused people to use their free day Friday 29 March to make their own way ...read more to the Bamboo forest because it was not noticed further down the itinerary Saturday 30 March.

Tips: Take lots of socks in case it is raining when you have to take shoes off and on. Take slip on shoes. Pack an umbrella. Use Google Interpreter to help with language.

One trip highlight was seeing Mt Fuji because we struck very cold, wet, cloudy weather. Our group thought we would miss out but the weather cleared and there it was . Beautiful. Loved the Alps and ryokan. Blossoms were not out in Tokyo but were in Hiroshima and Osaka. Thought we were going to be unlucky but we saw some beautiful blooms. Also the castles and temples were lovely. Japanese people so polite and friendly. Thanks to our guide a lost shoulder bag and all contents was located and sent on to hotel in a day or two. Cities clean, quiet and orderly. Food interesting! Amazing toilets! Our tour was fast paced and the guide was excellent. 18 people in group, all well travelled and fun. We certainly had a great trip.
In-depth tour of Tasmania     1 , WA, Australia, Mar 2024
I had a fabulous time on the small group Bunnik tour of Tasmania. We were lucky to have had only 10 people! We had a great time exploring Tasmania with Bunnik. The guide and driver, Paul and Kerry, were fantastic. Kind, funny, and professional. Highlights of Jordan and Egypt Review   1 , NSW, Australia, Nov 2023
A great adventure for in depth ancient history buffs of Jordan and Egypt.

The tour guides were locals, confident, experienced, very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and well organised, always conscious of our safety and well being. They told us what pitfalls to be aware of when shopping and touring. However, often, there was information overload, ...read more leaving insufficient time for exploring, which was quite disappointing, especially, for many, this was a bucket list destination.

The tour in Jordan was enjoyable with its varied activities. However, that in Egypt was heavily concentrated on rushing to visit as many tombs as possible, so we soon became “tombed”out. A more leisurely pace with time to enjoy some of the beautiful hotels on the Nile and an exploration of modern Egypt would have created a more enjoyable experience.

The accommodation was a mixture of very modern exclusive hotels, some bygone ones in the process of being renovated and one unwelcoming, very basic, old Wadi Rum “glamp”. Thank goodness for the lovely, modern Movenpick cruise boat which softened the blow, with its wonderful crew and experienced chefs!

The variety of foods was an experience, a mixture of delicious to wanting, as in Wadi Rum where you couldn’t even have toast! Often, dishes were comparatively very salty and heavily spiced, just how the locals like it?

The Bunnik tour was pricey for such inconsistent accommodation and food options but we felt very safe, well looked after and happy to be with a small group of lovely easy going Aussie fellow travellers. You will have fun, if you are willing to go with the flow.

To stay well, don’t eat the salad, even in five star hotels, or use ice and always use bottled water, even for brushing your teeth! This was made easy with Bunnik providing an endless supply of complimentary bottled, water!

Lastly, I must commend Global Journeys and Bunnik for their professional and dedicated staff, who are always happy to answer our questions and concerns.

Georgie Walpole was an efficient and courteous agent to work with. Overall, we enjoyed the trip to northern Japan. Nature and Japan did not disappoint. South Australia trip with Bunnik     2 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2023
It was a lovely trip. Accommodation was beautiful, I felt like I was a queen. The food was wonderful. I have only criticism about the first and last meals together were not good. Turkey     1 , Australia, Sep 2023
Loved the trip, loved the country. Good mix of fellow travellers- now all friends - and very knowledgeable guide. Stress free Sri Lanka.   2 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2023
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent Bunnik tour of Sri Lanka. Everything from the pick up at the air port to the drop off 17 days later ran very smoothly. Cultural Overload of Turkiye & Greece   2 , SA, Australia, Aug 2023
We both thoroughly enjoyed touring Turkiye and Greece, having not been to both since travelling from London to Kathmandu in the early seventies. The camaraderie amongst the group of 20 made it very pleasant ...read more travelling and fun. Accommodation consisted of mainly 4 and 5 star hotels all of which were of a high standard. European bathrooms are not always easy to manage with slippery, narrow baths and showers which flood the floors. Luckily there were no accidents!

Both tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, the Turkiye guide proudly telling us about his country. Both had detailed descriptions of the ancient ruins, at times most of us felt we were overloaded with information and not able to digest everything.
A 3 day cruise to Patmos, Rhodes, Crete and Santorini were included but excursions to the islands had to be paid for. The costs were a ripoff , particularly Santorini where buses had to wait for others to clear and crushing crowds made the visit less enjoyable.
Highlights of the 23 days were ballooning at Cappadocia, tasty meals, some of the ancient ruins, Meteora and the monasteries in the north of Greece and the Plaka in Athens. I would certainly recommend this trip but to be aware of the long days with limited freetime and the emphasis being on ancient ruins.
