Viking River Cruises were extremely efficient as to the way the cruise and onshore excursions were organised and conducted. We would travel with them again. The most important person for us was Michelle White our Global Journeys travel consultant who was most efficient and helpful in assisting with documentation and advice and we will certainly use read more Global Journeys and Michelle again.

We loved Russia. This experience was enhanced by the quality of the on shore excursions and the lectures given by the 3 Tour Escorts during the course of the cruise. The important answer that says it all - we will definitely sail with Viking again.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. Our cabin was excellent and having the balcony gave us the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful views when relaxing. Loved all the areas of the ship. Every member of the crew was helpful, polite and happy to meet any requests. It was good to have free seating and smart casual dress for dinner.No need for formal attire. read more Enjoyed the shore excursions. Had some very entertaining guides. Generally a great trip.
We were extremely happy with the service before, during and after the holiday. We had a wonderful time on board and everything was looked after to a high standard for the entire time. My only gripe, (and this is a small one), was during the dinner service and the fact that despite the tables not 'being booked', people had actually tipped the staff so read more they remained at the same table and same (window) seats every night! It was great to have the option of eating alfresco or the more formal dining room. We saw a number of the cruise boats which did not offer this experience.

The Viking cruise was well organised, cabins comfortable and the services provided were excellent. The staff and crew very very attentive and the onboard activities first rate. The on shore excursions provided a variety of venues to suit most tastes. I highly recommend this river cruise to others.
Viking Grand European River Cruise (15 days) was the cruise of a lifetime. All of the staff bent over backwards to ensure our every need was met, the route and included tours provided a fabulous insight into the regions we travelled through, almost every day was another UNESCO world heritage sight.
Yvonne at Global Journeys was great to deal with read more to ensure everything was in order before we left. We would definitely recommend Viking River Cruises.

It was fantastic, we didn't have to do anything from the time we arrived in Budapest until we left the ship in Amsterdam. We were met at Budapest Airport, taken to the ship, upon arrival we were booked in. What more can I say from that point everything was taken care of.

The whole planning and implementation of our river cruise, with the most able assistance of Michelle was wonderful. We were reassured by the timely and informative responses to any issues that we raised prior to the trip. The actual 15-day Viking river cruise on the Viking Delling went well beyond our expectations in every way. The staff, cruise ship, read more cruise content and organisation were brilliant. Any interruptions to the activites (e.g. weather) were handled extremely well, ensuring there was no disadvantge to our enjoyment. Barry required medical assistance and Henrieta Balisova, the Program Director arranged a Doctor's appointment within hours and accompanied Barry and myself personally to ensure there were no language problems. The cruise shore excursions were of a first-rate standard, using experienced local guides. At all times Henrieta and her colleagues were at hand , during these shore excursions, to ensure that the experience was of the highest standard. She regularly sought feedback on the quality of the guides. We noted that Viking River Cruise ships always had prime mooring points, which added to the ease of our access to the various towns along the rivers. The food was delicious, the daily news bulletins of national news in Australia, US and Canada were an added bonus. The daily ship paper - Viking Daily - was delivered to our Stateroom each prior evening and provided detailed and precise information.
Viking River Cruise was very good with all stops well worth a look. The crew and daily tours all very well organised and all worth the value of the cruise. All paper work, info and bookings by Global Journeys well handled. Thanks.
This was very much a family cruise as we travelled with my two sisters and my brother and his wife. We all really enjoyed the cruise family on board. The ship was new and the crew were very attentive. All the tours were informative and easy on the body. We were luck with the weather. The highlight was our arrival into Budapest at about 11.00pm with read more all the buildings lit up - what a sight. Thank you for assistance in booking this river cruise.
Best experience yet! The staff and amenities were first class. Tours along with the tour guides made the trip so enjoyable and informative. Even when there was an incident/accident with the ship, the Captain and staff acted very professionally and helped the passengers in the process. My wife and I will not hesitate to travel with Viking and will certainly read more recommend them to all.

We loved the whole experience of the river cruise. We especially enjoyed that the group was small and we were not restricted to a particular table or group. We got to meet so many interesting people and enjoyed their company. We needed a holiday when we got home due to all the interesting excursions and trips on the tour. Also needed larger size clothes read more - never eaten so much in my life. Food was excellent, as were all the facilities. Tour Director certainly earned his money. He worked jolly hard to keep us all informed, in order, and under control. Go Gary!

It was great. We were looked after from start to the end. A little confusion at pick up at the airport in Moscow, but when we arrived at the boat we were straight away refunded our cost. Everything was easy from beginning to the end. The tours were well organized. We all had our own ear plug radio with the guide and it had a good range. Did not have read more to be to close to the guide to hear what they were talking about. The groups were not big either, which made it a comfortable outing. There were good computer facilities on board, with printing and scanning options. All free of charge. Great experience and we are looking forward to another river cruise.
We have totally enjoyed the cruise. It was perfectly organized, accommodation and food were excellent, all the excursions very good. We would love to do another one at some point.

Fantastic. A well organised program and managed by an excellent Tour Escort. I can thoroughly recommend this tour. Extra time in Xian would have enabled us to visit the city wall and explore more of the city. We will take another Viking tour in the future.

Viking River Cruises provided exactly what they advertised. We felt that we had as good an experience of a small part of Russia and its people as we hoped for and the cruising 'experience' was very comfortable and relaxed. The on shore tours were well organised and varied and the on board information/lecture sessions extremely well presented and satisfying. read more We would happily recommend this tour.
