Itinerary

Welcome to the “Emerald City!”

At 6:30 pm, meet your travel companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming adventure.

Gem of the Pacific Northwest

This morning begins with a tour of the Museum of Flight, the largest independent non-profit air and space museum in the world featuring over 175 air and spacecrafts. Explore Seattle on a guided tour including the Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square. The rest of the day is at leisure in Seattle. Consider a visit to the Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, Seattle Aquarium or Chihuly Garden and Glass, taste local Woodinville wine while watching the sunset over Puget Sound or enjoy regional cuisine such as Asian fusion or fresh seafood. (B)

TOUR HIGHLIGHT - CITY SIGHTS: Experience the vibrant energy of Seattle's authentic farmer's market that tempts the senses with an array of aromas, eats, and friendly people. Pike Place Market has been a gathering place and bustling market for more than a century as one of the oldest operating farmer's markets in the U.S. Visitors and locals alike are drawn to the energy and extraordinary array of farm-fresh produce, paper-wrapped flowers, shops, restaurants, bars, fishmongers, street performers, and the first Starbucks – all mixing a rich blend of coffee culture and true Seattle style.

Cascades & Craft Beer

Travel south into Oregon today for a visit the highest waterfall in Oregon followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Portland for an orientation tour and visit to Powell's Books, the largest independent bookstore in the world, followed by free time in the late afternoon and evening. During your free time, explore one of the many craft breweries, music venues, or take a food or ghost tour! (B/L)

LOCAL FAVORITE - NATURAL WONDERS: Native American lore tells the story of a young princess who sacrificed her life on the falls to save her village from illness. This legendary spectacle of roaring waterfalls of Multnomah Falls plunges from 611 feet in a thunderous cascade of icy water and mist. Enjoy lunch at the historic lodge here in a magical setting in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge.

Rugged & Rosy

Discover why Portland is called the “City of Roses” with a visit to Washington Park and the International Rose Test Gardens. Depart Portland for TMK Creamery, a unique creamery and distillery focused on sustainability and innovative processes to make quality products. Continue through the Willamette Wine Valley to charming McMinnville for lunch and then on to the rugged Oregon coast to Newport, one of Oregon's most popular seaside resorts.

Next, visit Yaquina Head and learn about the headland's importance to the indigenous tribes of the area. The Lighthouse remains the tallest on the Oregon Coast and has been guiding ships safely to shore since 1873. This evening, enjoy a special dinner on the water at Clearwater Restaurant featuring local regional wine. (B/D)

LOCAL FAVORITE - SEASIDE SIGHTS & SAVORY BITES: Embodying the spirit of Newport, Clearwater Restaurant places an emphasis on fresh, local seafood and offers unmatched views of the surrounding harbor. Oregon Coast 2 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2017
We took this Globus tour hoping to see the beautiful Oregon coast everyone raves about. Unfortunately the weather made that almost impossible. August may not be the best time to do the tour due to sea fog. The tour was fine otherwise, great time in the redwoods. Nice mix between big cities and smaller places. Happier with this Globus tour than the ...read more last one we did some years ago, but would have loved more time on the coast (had we been able to see it if we stopped). Great Trip 4 , New Zealand, Jul 2017
Didn't know what to expect, but was delighted to experience such a wonderful tour of the west coast of the US. The tour guide was well organised, very helpful and has great humour which made the trip so lovely. Also the driver was great too. Really enjoyed visiting the Redwood National Park and seeing the astonishing, huge Redwood trees. Loved Seattle ...read more and exploring San Francisco. Hotels were great. Overall, would highly recommend this tour.
Would have liked more 'down time'. 2 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2016
Overall very good, most hotels were great. Having said that our accommodation at Jot's Resort Gold Beach was rather rustic, and our included dinner and breakfast was well below standard. The boat trip on the Rogue River [Jerry's Rogue Jets was great - the weather was perfect. Would have liked more "down time" to enjoy the facilities at the hotels. ...read more Some days did not get into hotels until late and out early the next day. The tours in Seattle were good - Boeing Tour and the Space Needle. Would drop off visit to Pike Place Market and replace it with Underground Seattle Tour. Thought we would have seen more wildlife, only saw a few squirrels and a couple of deer.
