Thanks Georgie for fantastic arrangements as usual for a really great trip. True highlights were iguazu Falls and the Amazon...both SO much better than my expectations which were already high. 2 days in Manaus before the trip started was ideal as the jet lag and long travel to manaus took some adjustment. Outstanding tour guides in Amazon and Iguazu ...read more and good elsewhere made for a wonderful trip. Loved the small group tour ...just 13 of us. Perfect. Highly recommend this trip for a great pace and itinerary.

South America Getaway with Santiago & Easter Island

Highlight of the trip was Iguassu Falls....we had plenty of time to explore both sides of the Falls and the local guide and accommodation was great. Easter Island was fascinating, despite some shortcomings with the local accommodation and guide There's a lot of air travel so be prepared to spend a lot of time in airports or on (crowded economy class) ...read more flights. No airport transfer on arrival is offered, nor can you prepay gratuities. So we had to carry local currency or USD throughout. Hotel location in Santiago was well away from shops, etc...about 20-30 minutes walk to local shopping centres, etc.
Tour group was dominated by USA tourists, including a group of (comped?) travel agents. Grace from GJ did an excellent job with the booking and Globus liaison.

I enjoyed my Globus trip & again they have a great itinerary, tour guide and bus driver. Especially like the extra tours.
Greece has always been an intriguing country because if its impact on language, plus philosophy and mathematics. And oh! those wonderful gods and goddesses. Their power and behaviour! The 8 day/4 days cruise of the islands was delightful. Our Tour Director. Themis, is fabulous. She loves her job and it shows. She is a very special person and makes this tour an excellent choice.
The tour host was exceptional. Very knowledgeable. Also extremely patient with guests who didn't pay attention and continually asked questions that had already been explained. The accommodation was less of a standard than I expected but did not detract from the tour overall.
It was my third trip with Globus. It was again a perfect trip, well organized and executed. The hotel was excellent and located close to the Underground. The breakfast selection could not have been better. The tours were well guided. A Globus representative was always present in the hotel lobby for answering questions.
The 7 Day Tour was an excellent experience, which captured the best of New Mexico! Would highly recommend this tour for beautiful landscapes, and Los Alamos a beautiful little town! There were other notable inclusions which were interesting on this tour, must sees absolutely if your in New Mexico!!
We enjoyed the trip and the weather totally cooperated with us which was an added bonus. Our tour director was good -and I would have given her a great but I think we could have received a little more historical facts about the cities as it was an historical tour. The hotels we stayed in were lovely and we had some nice meals.
This tour is fast paced. It has to be to see all that you see. 7 national parks in 14 days, you do the math. We traveled 3,032 miles. Suggestions: Bring a walking stick - the kind thats fold up. Make sure your shoes are comfortable for walking. Download common restaurant apps so when you stop for lunch, you can be ahead of the line in ordering. Rain ...read more gear is essential. WiFi is sporadic, don’t depend on it being available. If hearing is a problem, ask to sit up front of the coach. For everyday, pack clothes you can throw away - go to Goodwill (or something like it), get clothes from the “cheap” rack, then throw them away as it makes more room in your suitcase for souvenirs. Tips for included meals are paid by tour company. Bring books, videos, games, and snacks, anything you like to keep occupied during travel from one place to another and finally a travel pillow makes the ride more comfortable. And suggestions for Globus - plan on 2 nights at Jackson and none at Old Faithful Inn.
Thank you Hannah for once again organising a great tour. The itinerary was jam packed, the guides were excellent, and the hotels were lovely and centrally located. I went solo and thoroughly enjoyed the company of mainly Americans.
We saw the Northern Lights as an unexpected out of season bonus. Visited an Iceland special - heated steam power plant.
Revelled in Thermal Pools. Enjoyed a Great Tour Director and Driver as we travelled around Iceland......

I loved every minute of this trip. Our guide, Holm, was great - her knowledge of Iceland was amazing and she was happy to show us as much as possible. The highlights of the trip were the waterfalls - everywhere, The Blue Lagoon was lovely but the bonus was seeing the Northern Lights (we didn't expect this in Early September).

We had a great time doing our own thing in Germany Rhine Falls, and part of Austria. We then joined Globus for their tour from Vienna to Lucerne, which was very well planned and most enjoyable. Zermat and The Matterhorn were exceptional as part of the Globus tour; and the performance at the Musikverein in Vienna was to die for.
The trip was well run and stress free. Be prepared for early starts, but that does mean lots was packed into every day.
My only criticism would be that the local tour guides can be too wordy and often boring. We had one outstanding guide, but the rest were less impressive. I felt an introduction on the bus by our tour director, then free time to explore ...read more was much more enjoyable. This happened on some of the places visited. Globus trip with 32 passengers-which was a good thing. Space to spread out on the tour bus. Enthsiastic and knowledgeable tour director and equally so driver. Itinerary was great and 2 night stops perfect. We felt however that many of the extras once offered with globus are not there any more. Water eg not provided and hotels now offer minimal starter ...read more kits and nasty disposable "dishes" in rooms. Tour meals included were quite basic affairs and did not provide alcoholic drinks as was once the norm...we've been spoilt in the past obviously on tour, particularly with quite special dinners in external restaurants. Dinner being the focus to socialise with fellow travellers rather than rushed meals with guest speakers and home by 7pm!
We had a truly wonderful time on the Globus Ultimate Alaska & Yukon tour. The landscapes were breathtaking, and the remoteness only added to the authenticity of the experience—it’s exactly what you’d hope for when exploring such untouched parts of the world. It was a wonderful trip, organized with some good optionals for local tourings. We had a very good globus advisor who assisted us to plan & booked our trip; everything went smooth and pleasant. Our main Globus tour guide was also very good & helpful which made our trip pleasant & enjoyable.

The tour at that stage was a 'planned departure', however, Hannah kept monitoring the tour & was very quick to inform us once the tour converted to a 'definite departure'. The coach trip was excellent, our guide Andrei was excellent with an incredible knowledge. The Hotels were of a high standard. The included meals were all excellent. A reasonable amount of walking involved (ie. coach drop point- walking an old town-return to coach pick up over cobble stones).
Wonderful experience with the very professional Globus staff. We travelled to so many places, entered into buildings that I would perhaps not have given a second look at to discover beautiful gardens and architecture. We even back in time to working townships from the 10th century .I would not been able to have covered the breadth of Portugal nor learnt ...read more so much history as I did with the Global staff. I met many fellow travellers who said they only do Globus tours, I am now a convert to bus trips!
