Thank you Rachel for getting this booking in motion. Even though we had 41 passengers, everyone was prompt on the coach. As national park accommodation is often booked out years in advance, this was the best way to stay at some of the classic lodges with so much history and character, at prices we could never afford if we were travelling independently. ...read more The locations were near hiking trails or walking distance to town. Rustic Inn at Jackson was remarkable.

The buffalo safari allowed us to get especially close to wildlife and the vastness of Badlands National Park was hauntingly beautiful. And we saw so much wildlife including bear, coyote, bison, elk, sheep, deer, etc. Being located at Yellowstone for 2 days, at various parts of the park, allowed us to explore most of the points of interest. I felt the lunch stop in Montana and driving via Idaho to Salt Lake City were surprise add-ons as well. I felt the Beartooth Highway from Cody into the Yellowstone area was one of the most scenic drives I have every done. All in all, it was a wonderful trip that surpassed our expectations, creating new friendships and new memories, and wondering why I had not discovered this region years earlier.
Classic Lodges and Parks of the West 1 , NSW, Australia, May 2019
My husband and I have just returned from Globus’ Classic Lodges and Parks of the West Tour. We previously toured this area ten years ago but have always wanted to return to see the beautiful scenery of the Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. This tour did not disappoint as this time our accommodations were well located within the national parks we ...read more visited.

The tour was excellent - easy paced and not at all rushed, helped in part by one of the best tour directors we have ever come across. Steve was a wealth of information having lived and worked in Yellowstone for over ten years. There was nothing he did not know about the areas we visited. Kirt, our driver, was also excellent.

The fact that there was still a lot of snow lying around just added to the beauty of the scenery. One of the highlights was the float trip down the Snake River as well as the abundance of wildlife we saw - bears, moose, bison just to mention a few.

We had only 17 on our tour - three Aussies - and everyone got on well. The smaller group size made for ease of moving around and plenty of space on the coach. Hotels in Rapid City and Salt Lake City were a few minutes walk from the town centres.

We couldn’t fault Jemma’s handling of our booking with every query answered promptly and efficiently. Looking forward to our next booking with Global Journeys.
Classic Lodges & Parks of the West 2 , ACT, Australia, Aug 2018
Booking the tour with Global Journeys was good, booking airfares was problematic. Accommodation was good apart from issues with toilets. Fellow travelers were good company.
Tour far exceeded my expectations 2 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
This tour was very well organised and included some fantastic accommodation. Some accommodation had spectacular views and of those in cities/ towns most were in a very good location, within walking distance of restaurants and the town centre. There were quite a few lunches/and all dinners included, all above average in quality and variety. The scenery ...read more was amazing, in particular Yellowstone National Park. The tour director and bus driver were both brilliant! The tour director was very knowledgeable and had many stories (of which some were tall tales) to tell. He was very approachable and clearly loved his profession. The driver was very skilled and courteous, a true professional! This tour far exceeded my expectations, which were very high. Although there was one point of interest at which I personally would have liked more time, the stops and overnight stays were excellent choices. I have organised many trips but on reflection could not replicate this tour. It was definitely value for the money!
Great tour and gave a different perspective of the West 4 , Australia, Jul 2014
This was a great tour and gave us a different perspective of the American west, particularly with respect to the history of the region and the part played by the various native American tribes during the spread of settlers westward. The scenery was quite spectacular, from the more arid regions of Badlands National Park to the more mountainous region ...read more of the Grand Teton National Park. In between, we visited the Crazy Horse Memorial and the presidential rock carvings at Mount Rushmore. Our visit to Deadwood/Sturgis was amazing, eye-opening and quite spectacular, since our visit coincided with a bikers meet where 750,000 bikers turned up, almost all of them riding incredible Harley Davidson's! We would highly recommend this tour as a standalone tour for travellers who have already travelled the Canyonlands (Grand, Bryce, Zion), or as an add-on to a Canyonland tour out of Las Vegas for travellers new to the region. Many thanks to Yvonne for making it all happen - she is a splendid ambassador for Global Journeys.
