Spectacular Canadian Rockies Tour   1 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
The Grand Western Canada Vacation my wife and I experienced was a small group departure of 21 travelers. This was an ideal group size as it allowed everyone to move around to the spare coach seats and capture that scenic photo of the spectacular scenery whilst the coach was moving along.

Shelley our tour guide was very experienced and gave excellent ...read more commentary on the sights were visited. She provided a great selection of music by Canadian singers on the coach during the long driving sections. Our coach driver Neil was a very safe driver and at no stage did we feel unsafe.

The accommodation was a mix of 5 and 4 star hotels providing great room facilities and excellent breakfast choices.
The 4 dinner restaurants chosen by Globus were excellent. Especially the backup restaurant at Jasper when the hotel restaurant we were booked in for had lost power due to powerlines being damaged in the strong winds. The first dinner restaurant was in Kelowna at King Taps. Wow what a meal. The food provided was a mixed selection from the menu supplied in a family meal format for the 3 tables. Quality and quantity was excellent.

The tour started on the 10 June 2024 and finished on 22 Jun. This was an ideal time to travel as Lake Louise and other lakes such as Maligne Lake had all melted.

The Globus itinerary and the optional excursions provided a great scenic tour of the Canadian Rockies, Whistler and Victoria and Vancouver. This tour is very highly recommended for mature aged travelers who wish to go on a fully escorted small group tour.
Globus Grand Western Vacation Tour 2 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2022
This was a great tour. The scenery was spectacular and our Tour Director Sharon was fantastic. She kept us all informed of the history of the places we were going through, everything was well organised and she kept us entertained with all of her jokes! The accommodations were great and we had a great bunch of people on the tour. Really enjoyed this ...read more trip.
Beautiful scenes 1 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2022
June was a great time to visit as weather was pleasant with beautiful scenery with ice and snow melting. Trip was well organised from start to finish.
Canadian Rockies   3 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2019
This tour delivered what its brochure promised it would do. From the extraordinary Butchart Gardens in Victoria to scrambling over the Columbia Icefield and a breakfast on top of a mountain at Banff, it mixed sightseeing, optional excursions and spectacular scenery into a trip that I'll remember for some time. And, yes, there were bears (sometimes with ...read more cubs), elk and deer to be seen. Highlights are difficult to prioritise, but Maligne Lake is certainly one. The optionals offered were diverse and well organised. Accommodation was comfortable and the dinners provided were good. With the exception of Lake Louise, disappointments were few.

The tour director, Brad Noyes, was exceptional. His commentaries on Canada's history, the country's current issues and his love of the Rockies kept the group informed, but he added an extra that was also welcome. As we came into a town where we were to spend a night or two, he took the coach around the town, pointing out likely places of interest, eating places and even the ubiquitous Irish Pub. Those travelling from Australia in Canada's 'summer' should acquaint themselves with what the Canadians call 'layers'. The mornings in the Rockies can drop to close to 0C, the days to a top of 15C: 28C is described as 'hot'. Pack a jumper and other warm clothing before you go, especially for Maligne Lake. As for Global Journeys, and Jemma who organised the trip, thank you for the professional way you handled it all.
Picturesque Western Canada   1 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2019
Fantastic 12 day tour with Globus. Everything was well organised with fantastic sight seeing opportunities and amazing accommodation. While it was go go go most of the time we did have a few days to ourselves to do optional excursions. Included breakfast and the dinners were of really good quality.

I chose this tour for the photo opportunities with ...read more the beautiful Canadian Rockies and the wildlife and I wasn't disappointed. Great tour overall and I would recommend it to others.
Grand Western Canada Vacation 2 , QLD, Australia, May 2019
Our tour and coach driver were terrific in their knowledge with delightful personalities to match. We had no problems at anytime throughout the tour. Very highly recommended.

Only downside was that the last 2 days was a hurry to get back to Vancouver which we found to be more tiring and not enjoyable. Maybe it is different to go on the anti-clockwise ...read more direction tour.
