An Amazing Holiday   0 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2024
It was an enjoyable, interesting and a hectic tour. We enjoyed very minute of it and look forward to joining Globus again soon. Julian our tour director was an wonderful guy from Madrid, he was very helpful along with all the other local guides. Mohammad, local guide in Morocco gave us a lot of inside information on the culture, history, how the ...read more country operates etc. but he was a kickback king, wherever he took us, he made sure he was rewarded.

We enjoyed all the places we visited, specially Rick's cafe in Casablanca. Fez and Tangier was my favorite cities. The venue and the evening show was enjoyable, although I was looking forward to Moroccan cuisines but in general they were very bland. The seafood meals that we had in Lisbon and Costa de Sol were excellent. The optional dinners and shows we saw just average compared to the cost, except in Fez. You need a lot of patience to put up with Moroccan Music. We made up for it by some lovely music in Portugal and Spain, especially when our Tour Director sang and danced along with us. The Farewell dinner in Madrid was memorable, but the dinner was average.
Spain, Portugal and Morocco 2022 4 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2022
We met our tour guide, Abadi along with the rest of our group in Lisbon. We had dinner and got to know more people. We visited several monuments in Lisbon and tile work shop which was very interesting. Our local guide in Morocco was Rashid, who was very entertaining and knowledgeable. Rick's cafe in Casablanca was a beautiful building, we also toured ...read more through a prayer room in the King's mosque. The Marrakesh markets were huge and we saw a Berber carpet cooperative.

The buses all had charging ports for our phones and great WiFi. I loved seeing how the oasis cover valley floors and that there are three different types of desert. Returning to Spain and Costa Del Sol was lovely and the trip to Mijas was special, but I was totally blown away by the Alhambra! We were blessed with amazing weather for the entire trip and saw as much as we could. The hotels throughout the trip were superb.
I loved that Abadi gave us a list of email addresses for our group on the last day. We had a great time.
Lisbon, Spain and Morocco 10 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2019
We chose Globus for this tour as it appeared to be the only tour company who spent a week in Morocco and went out into the Sahara Desert. Are we pleased we did? Morocco was the absolute highlight of this tour. The Atlas Mountains were spectacular and each destination great. The accommodation in Morocco was superb. The country was very clean, felt safe, ...read more cities beautiful. If you have a bad back, don't do the camel ride. Walk on the dunes. Loved Lisbon, Seville, Costa del Sol, Toledo and Madrid not so much. The accommodation was good to great. Most of the included dinners were smorgasbords with good variety of foods. We did some of the optional extra dinners and were they worth it? A couple were but a couple weren't. Overall a very good tour. Many thanks go to Georgie Walpole from Global Journeys for organising our tour. We have used this company for 3 tours now and have been more than happy with their service. Thank you once again.
Portugal, Spain & Morocco 5 , NSW , Australia, May 2018
There's a lot to take in on this tour so the pace is steady. It is a great way to comfortably see a fair bit of Morocco. The tour director and local guides were great.
Very satisfied with the tour and the travelling group 9 , WA, Australia, Apr 2015
We had a very enjoyable tour through Portugal, Southern Spain and Morocco. The standard of the hotels was good as was the food. The pace was quite heavy but that is to be expected when visiting three countries. Morocco in particular was fabulous and something unique. Andalusia was also very beautiful. Overall, we were very satisfied with the tour and ...read more the travelling group, guide and driver. Would recommend Globus and Global Journeys.
Really enjoyed most of the trip 9 , Australia, Sep 2013
We really enjoyed most of the trip. Our tour leader Raymond Walsh was excellent. We understand the pressures for early starts and the need to keep moving to achieve the maximum out of every day. When a hotel booking went awry, we were upgraded by Globus, unfortunately it meant traveling further on that day. However, we found the additional guide, Mohammad, ...read more used in Morocco was unsatisfactory. He seemed to be 'on the take' at many places we stopped. We were particularly upset when we were rushed through a Medina with a 'sweeper' behind us to keep us moving making it impossible to make any purchases.

The food was acceptable in the hotels, but in many of the other activities involving dinners, the food was bland and did not seem to represent the local cuisine. I guess that is done to meet the varied tastes of all the travelers. One exception was Ricks cafe, Casablanca. Very enjoyable experience. We were not impressed when we did the camel ride as when we dismounted to watch the sunset, the camel handlers 'ambushed' us trying to sell souvenirs. In our travels we have learnt - don't do all the optional excursions - some are over priced and seem to be there just to occupy the tourists. Don't take the extra guides recommendations for food places - they may not be the best and the guide may be on kickbacks.

Our driver Alberto was extremely competent and courteous. Highly recommended. Overall it was a very good trip - leaving us with the desire to return to many places for a more detailed visit. Global Journeys also performed well, no hassles, especially getting our documents ready earlier than normal due to our other travel arrangements.
