Booking was fast and easy. Amazing tour, but fast paced with early morning and evening arrivals due the time of year. Perhaps this tour is more suited for spring than winter as longer days of light would have enabled us to see more of the destination along the route and apon arrival. Lots of fun and excursion options.

A 25 day coach tour, East to West through the southern states of USA. The pace was fairly relaxed, majority of our daily departures were around 8 am, and arriving in our next destination mostly by 5 pm. Informative commentary was provided on history and demographics of places visited. This road trip had all the iconic landmarks covered. The Tour Director was knowledgeable and informative. This tour was not only great but educational as well. Accommodation in Las Vegas was at Golden Nugget which was too far away from The Strip. Would prefer a hotel more central and walkable.

Costsaver is a budget option, that has pros and cons. Rooms were good, a few were out of town, but that was not an issue for me. The itinerary could be shortened by a couple of days, as the coach wastes time in many comfort stops with excessive down time. Not having food provided, suited me and gave me flexibility for more simple meals. Fall foliage was late in 2024, so our early trip had about 30% colour which was still amazing, it is nature after all. Our Costsaver Fall foliage tour director was a disappointment, boring, lazy and generally grumpy to the guests. He should be retrained in customer service. Overall I would rate the Costsaver Fall Foliage tour of 21st September 2024 a 3 rating out of 5.

What's included in the price shown online for my trip?
Costsaver trips include all hotels, breakfast daily and some evening meals as described in the trip itinerary, all restaurant gratuities, all hotel tips, charges and local taxes and sightseeing and activities as described in your itinerary. Any Choice Experiences listed in the itinerary are optional and can be...read more booked and paid for while on your trip.
What is a definite departure and when will my trip become definite?
You'll see the Status of some departure dates shown as 'Definite Departure'. A definite departure has reached a minimum number of guests booked and that particular departure will therefore definitely run barring any extraordinary circumstances. The number of guests booked can fluctuate, so Costsaver can't show...read more exact numbers. However, departures are regularly updated to show as definite. You can still go ahead and book a departure not yet marked as definite and in the scenario, that the departure doesn't meet the minimum number of guests you will be offered the best alternative dates or a full refund of any payment made. What age range is classed as a child when booking with Costsaver?
To book a child on to a Costsaver tour, the child must be aged between 5 and 17 years at the time of travel.
Can I change my date and/or trip at any time?
Costsaver guests can book with confidence. You're free to change your travel plans up until your final payment is due. If you are within the cancellation period, additional charges will apply. Can I book a triple room?
Triple room bookings are available, suitable for 2 adults and 1 child. When booking your trip, Costsaver define a child as somebody aged 17 or under. A triple room is not recommended for 3 adults, as the third bed is often a rollaway, which may not be comfortable for an adult.
Are airport transfers included?
Transfers between airports, hotels, railway stations and piers are only included as indicated on each itinerary. Transfers can be purchased for an additional cost in many destinations. How can I add transfers to my booking?

Can I book extra hotel nights before or after my trip through Costsaver?
Yes, you can book extra hotel nights through Costsaver. Many guests like to give themselves a little more time in a destination before or after their trip. Let us know and your Global Journeys Travel Advisor will arrange them in conjunction with Costsaver.
What are my room options as a solo traveller?
As a solo traveller you can choose between two room options. Solo Room Share: You will be matched with another guest of the same gender in a twin room. This option does not incur any solo supplement. Where can I find solo pricing?
The prices displayed on our trip pages are for twin rooms, based on two perople travelling. To check the solo price for a trip, select the dropdown next to the "Availability" heading, just above the departures and prices panel.
How do I use my past guest discount?
If you've travelled with Costosaver or one of the TTC Family of brands (including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold) before then you are automatically a member of the Global Tour Rewards program and entitled to a 5% discount off your next trip.

You will be asked to provide details of your previous trips with Costsaver or another TTC brand, including the trip name and month and year of travel. Do I need travel insurance?
We highly recommend guests purchase travel insurance prior to your trip. Your insurance should cover trip interruption, personal injury, medical expenses, and evacuation and repatriation cover including during pandemic events.
Can I pre-pay gratuities?
On most of our trips to Europe, North America and South America, you have the option to pre-pay gratuities for your Travel Director and Driver at the time of booking. Alternatively, if you would like to show your appreciation to the team, gratuities may also be paid during your trip. There is no option to pre-pay...read more gratuities on Costsaver's Asia, Africa, Australia & New Zealand trips. How much luggage can I bring?
On European tours travelling with Costsaver entitles each guest to travel with one suitcase not exceeding 23kg (50lbs) in weight, with the dimensions of 76cm x 46cm x 25cm (30” x 18” x 10”). Carry-on/hand luggage is restricted to one piece per person, not exceeding 12”x11”x6” (30x28x14 cm) to fit under your coach...read more seat or in the small overhead compartment.

We strongly recommend that you test the weight of your baggage prior to travel. You should be able to lift and comfortably transport it for short distances. Baggage allowances vary from airline to airline and you should check with your chosen carrier for details prior to travel.

On North & South America, Australia & New Zealand tours you can bring one suitcase per person with the dimensions of 76cm x 46cm x 25cm (30” x 18” x 10”) and weight not exceeding 23 kg (50 lbs) due to the limited space on the coach. You can also bring one piece of hand luggage, provided it is small enough to take on the coach and does not have telescopic handles.

For Africa & Asia tours, East Africa safari vehicles cannot accommodate the regular luggage dimensions and weights listed above. We kindly ask our guests to travel with a soft-sided bag or medium-sized suitcase. For internal flights within Costsaver Asia tours, there is generally a 20kg luggage allowance.

The coach windows have a high vantage point perfect to take in all the glorious scenery, whether it’s a grand rural landscape or an urban city centre. We also have onboard Wi-Fi. Please note, the coach WiFi uses the 3G mobile network, which means the connection can be slower than standard broadband.

Africa & Asia Tours
We're proud to offer luxury air-conditioned coaches with Wi-Fi in most countries. Africa and Asia tour vehicles do not have Wi-Fi on board. On Asia tours, there are no onboard restrooms.



How long will we spend on the coach?
How much coach travel there is depends on the itinerary but we rarely spend longer than a couple of hours on the coach without a photo stop or visit. Some journeys are much shorter. 
Do coaches operate seat rotation?

Do the hotels listed on the itinerary ever change?
Yes, hotels can change from those listed on the website or in your travel documents. This might be due to a variety of reasons and is often out of Costsaver's control. If this does happen, we will ensure the new hotel is in a similar location and meets our high standards.
Will I have free time?

Is WiFi available on the coach?
Complimentary Wi-Fi service is available in the rooms and public areas of most accommodation. In many countries complimentary Wi-Fi is also provided on-board the motorcoaches, however this is not available in all locations. The Wi-Fi on the motorcoaches uses the mobile phone network and as a result the connection...read more will be slower than standard broadband and at times may not be available. Audio and Video streaming is not available using motorcoach Wi-Fi.
