I was the only solo traveller, and was made very welcome 3 Janice Fitzsimmons, Australia, Sep 2011
I had a wonderful time, although very tired at the end as it seemed to be go, go, go. We had lots of free time, in some places it was too long in others too short. Unfortunately most of Europe was having an Indian Summer which caught all of us out as we had packed for cool to cold weather so my suggestion would be to suggest to any other travellers read more doing this tour at this time of the year packing for all kinds of conditions eg. 1/2 & 1/2. I met some wonderful people from a wide range of backgrounds and seeing that I was the only one travelling alone I was made very welcome and never left out of anything and they all looked after me even though I was quite capable of doing so myself, I just let them look after me. The bathrooms in a few of the hotels were a bit on the small side especially for those travelling as a couple but I was fine. The food was delicious and definitely too much (3 course meals each night). I have one complaint is that sometimes we arrived at our hotel late and only had time to put our carry-on luggage into our rooms before having to head to the restaurant for our dinner, some of us would have liked to have time to at least freshen up a little before having to go to dinner. I'm not sure what Trafalgar can do about that situation. Apart from the bathrooms, weather and arrivals at the hotels, as I said before i had a wonderful time and would recommend this tour. Our entire bus journey was fantastic 1 Margaret & Dennis Arkell, Australia, Sep 2011
The tour leader Annette Suttie was full of information on every place we called into and all the sites and extras were just great. The coach driver that we had was an Italian his name was Pino Bastiano and with him in charge we all just had such a relaxing journey as far as we didn't need to worry about his driving, he was just so good. Meet lovely read more people and we just had a great time. If I could have one small bitch it is that the hotels don't have tea and coffee facilities in Europe and also an iron. Wow! Wow! Wow! 5 Donald & Kerry MacDonald, Australia, Jun 2011
My husband and I have just come back from a 17 day Trafalgar tour around Europe. We have had such a fantastic time. So many highlights. Cruising down the Rhine in Germany seeing so many beautiful castles, hundreds of years old, going up the cog train to Mt Pilatus in Switzerland, having an incredible lunch at Burano on the islands outside Venice, seeing read more the amazing paintings done by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican City and not forgetting visiting the grand Colosseum in Rome, staying at a beautiful hotel at Sorrento with balcony views overlooking the Mediterranean, being taken by minibuses to the wonderful little town of Positano, who could forget the wonderful statue of David in Florence, going on a carousel at beautiful Nice and then finally Paris, visiting the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, cruising down the river Seine at night, going to the top of the Eiffel Tower and not forgetting the Can-Can girls at the Nouvelle Eve Cabaret. All in all we could have not picked a better tour to see the best of Europe in such a short span of time. We found all the hotels and meals we had very good and the bus we travelled in very comfortable. We were lucky to get a fantastic Italian driver called Francesco who really took care of his bus and was a terrific driver. Now we get to our incredible tour guide Steve Pearce. My husband and I cannot say enough about Stephen. Stephen is why our tour was so fabulous. If it wasn't for his professionalism, dedication, friendliness and hard work that he gave us for the whole 17 days plus just his easy going personality our tour wouldn't have been as wonderful. We thoroughly recommend him to anybody who is wanting to go on a Trafalgar tour. Of course none of this would have been possible if it wasn't for your tour consultant, Yvonne Brooks. I have never booked a holiday over the internet before and straight away through her professionalism, knowledge and friendliness I was put at ease. Over the last 6 months Yvonne has always answered my questions, always got back to me straight away either by phone or email and kept me advised of any changes or updates we needed to know. I have no hesitation in recommending Yvonne or Global Journeys to anybody who is wanting to travel to Europe on a coach tour. Very professional in their approach 2 Uma & Gurmej Singh, Australia, May 2011
We had the most fantastic time touring UK with Cosmos on the 'British Panorama'. We drove though the very lovely green British country-side & visited many cathedrals, quaint little pubs, towns & historical places. It was a great experience. The Cosmos driver & the tour director were so friendly yet very professional in their approach. The second tour read more which was of the continent, 'European Cavalcade', a 17 day jam packed tour of 10 countries was also great. We saw & experienced so much in 17 days. We were able to beat the crowds in the mornings due to early starts hence first ones to get to many places & sites without having to stand in along queues. ie the Eifel Tower etc. Met some lovely people from all over the world. I would book my tours with you folks, Global Journeys, anytime, you are very professional & yet relaxed. Results 21-24 of 24
